Hi Skywalker,

I have also been discouraged since I started the low starch diet and am really not too sure what I plan to do next.

One of my favorite things to do it to travel and that's kind of what I'm doing at the moment. I left Australia to live in Germany for a few years and am often away for a week at a time or a few days and it is SOO hard to so low/no starch while travelling. I am starting to really wonder whether it's worth it at all since I have no results so far.

I have not eliminated starch but I have made drastic reductions, basically along the lines of the London AS diet. I cut out all of the major sources but am still getting little bits in processed food etc.

Should this be providing some relief?

Then depending on who you talk to, some people say don't eat fried food, some say don't eat dairy, some say don't eat sugar... it's all so confusing.

My c-reactive protein has dropped substantially over the last few months, but I really have no idea whether that is due to the diet or the prendisolone that I was taking. I am tempted to return to my normal diet for a couple of months and see if I experience any increase in pain or whether my c-reactive protein goes up again.

Good luck to you and I hope you find some answers soon.

Phil
