Hi, Jay:

I was in Old Delhi, but the address says New Delhi: Asif Ali Road not far from Red Fort. Here is the prescription in case it might help. If You get there, their chemists can read the URDU and older guys would be familiar with the founder's writing, but it just looks like chicken scratches to me--

The old fellow is deceased, but I would think that his prescription would apply to others with AS and the same location has these herbal pressings as the chemists for Hamdard are still there as far as I know. In fact the fellow who was fetching the pills for me, told me that it would be a very effective CURE!!

My brief encounter is part of my long, boring AS story: He was 92 years old then, and came in, speaking only to my hosts, but he took my pulse for many minutes, then wrote out a prescription we filled at the on-site herbal compounding chemist. As we exited The Hakim’s offices, one of my hosts acted hurt, saying to me “John…do you know what this man has said.” I replied in the negative, observing and reminding him that I do not speak Hindi. “URDU!” “He told us, in Urdu, that your mother is long dead and you have an older sister and a younger brother!” I curled my brow, but told my host that Hakim Hameed was exactly correct. “WHY have you not ever mentioned your brother to us?” I had to explain that my brother was a paranoid-schizophrenic, and it was too difficult to communicate with him, so I stopped trying. Certainly, I hold him no ill-will for his condition, which I believe is the result of in-womb abuse; my mother smoked and drank during her pregnancy with him in the late 1950s. She was a “registered nurse” (RN), and also had a medicine cabinet full of pills that did her no good at all. She expired only months after her 42nd birthday. I wonder now whether her early demise could have been as a result of heart-related AS complications in combination with her terrible lifestyle choices, making it further difficult if not impossible to diagnose retrospectively her condition.

Now, that is today, I understand enough about AS to believe that some herbs which affect the intestinal tract can have a positive impact on this disease--just like the medicines I took for it--the NSAIDs--had a very negative outcome. So I would be willing to try, and still have a small amount left, of these herbs. Let me know if You are going; I will place an order for more! There are 3 kinds of pressings (they smell very nice, btw): Morning, noon, and night 2 each time and also a tiny bottle of massage oil that I did not really use; I went to an ayurvedic place and they slathered coconut oil all over me on a special table that had to drain it off...

HEALTH,
John
