Well, you can replace the sweet potato with carrots and pumpkin (not sure if you mean "pumpkin" when you say winter squash.. we use some different terms in Australia). That would hopefully bring you in to the NSD, and should reduce some pain.

You can mash over cooked carrots with a potato masher and add butter and salt. Pretty yummy potato replacement smile
