Hello, summerleek:

Regret rice flour is strictly out!
Everything should be tested with the iodine.

When I began NSD, I was vegetarian; that changed rapidly and radically and within a year had my first steak. It was a NECESSARY transition for my health and by today I have eliminated this disease, albeit stuck with the damage.

I do not know about beer; anything with alcohol is usually gut-damaging to the extent it will increase AS activity.

"Nutritional yeast" can often have bad starchy substrates; again--TEST.
Tempeh has a starter that is raised on starch, but little of this is usually in the tempeh itself.
Miso is tofu but can have some thickeners that are starchy; tofu is safe.

WELCOME, and I hope You can benefit considerably from the information here. The MAIN THING in AS is GUT HEALTH, so we are each different and can tolerate different types of starches to different degrees, but the main thing is gut healing. With a PERFECT GUT, we can probably eat anything we want with relative impunity, so this is our highest goal.

HEALTH,
John
