I've also 'popped' on and off for the last few years, but it has become quite bad over the last few months - I have regular joked about sounding like a bowl of 'rice crispies'. My hips and back, and sometimes my neck, pop very loudly whenever I stand up or sit down (so much so that everyone around me comments on it, saying it sound painful), and is definitely worse when I get up in the morning (I often worry that the neighbours will mistake the pops for gunshots). Whenever I stretch most of my joints crunch, with much if my spine sounding like dry toast - it has just become one of those things I've learnt to live with.
