If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Hana, GOOD for you! Making someone else feel better sometimes makes me feel better. Having said that, it didn't really happen for me today. Guess the best I can do in this *Friday funk* is that it was payday and I'm thankful to have a job I love. Rita

Great idea for a post! I've enjoyed reading all the "good news." I grew up in Northern Minnesota, and one of the things I loved most was the northern lights. Now I'm in West Virginia and never see them. Because of this solar storm, (or whatever it is) my daughters got to see the northern lights for the first time in their lives. I told them to look long and remember, because they may never see them again. It wasn't a grand display, but definately worth looking at this far south. The girls were both busy writing in their journals this morning. I love seeing memories being made. I woke up today, and the pain was the same, but some other things were the same, too. Things money can't buy. Like my best friend whom I'm married to (we'll celebrate 20 yrs of marriage next month), and my children. They are happy, healthy, and whole. I would not trade my precious family for even one day without pain. And my other good news has already been told, but I'll tell it again anyway, 'cuz I'm so excited. I'm going to be a first-time grandma in April. I have always loved babies, still love my babies, love everyone else's babies, too, but this will be a special baby for us. It's easy to find things to whine and complain about, and I fall into that trap way too much. But when I stop to count my blessings, I find that life is so very good. Hugs, Cindy I am only one; but still I am one. I cannot do everything. But still I can do something; I will not refuse to do the something I can do. Helen Keller
Hugs,
Cindy

First thing this morning - I thought I d start working on some assigments (havent probably mentioned before but besides having two jobs, i am a grad student), I turned on the comp and decided to check my emails first, now I am still not working on the [####]. cause I have to share the news with you. My US host father (I was on a high school exchange in Dodgeville, WI in 1994/95) wrote to me that their daughter is going to have another baby in June. How about that? So I guess I am going to be a double auntie (she is kind of my sister, right?) :)) Now, off to work ... Hana

This is a great idea to write what good is happening. Most of the time the world just wants to talk about the bad. I am feeling good in mind which I have not for a long time. My son is doing good in school this year. He got held back last year he would not do the work and I was very worried about him. Money seems to be doing ok and ok is a long way from where I was when I was trying to get SS. The most good news I have is this place. We do so much more here than just helping people learn about AS. We are a family and I want to thank you all for letting me be a part of it for so long. Love you all, Donna Love comes in all shapes and sizes

Okay, nifty! Here are 'Erie's Good News bulletins for the week: 1. I was approved for food stamps. Over the last 6 months or so I've lost close to 15 pounds, and being unable to afford food was a big factor in that. Now I'm just waiting on the SSI... 2. The dr finally found something on my spine MRI. Wait... who in their right mind thinks that is GOOD news? No, still no diagnosis....... 3. Based on my learning disabilities and recent health issues my professor gave me an extension on my big research proposal paper that was due Thursday. *phew* 4. Playing violin has become a near impossibility because of my back pain and numbness as of late. The MRI FINALLY proved I'm not a hypochondriac, and also that it probably isn't going to get better any time soon. My violin teacher (who is one of the most caring, amazing people I've ever had the privilege of knowing) sat down with a very upset me and we talked for an hour. She knows of my interest (okay, obsession) with the baroque period and historical performance, so she is calling all over the campus, state, and country looking for sources to set me up with a baroque instrument and bow. Baroque violin is probably far less "ergonomically stressful" on the spine and neck, and I've been wanting to learn it anyway. Talk about turning bad news into good! Thanks Hana, this "happy things" boost should give me a good boost to start working on this paper now. 'Erie (-:

Erie! Couldnt help but reply to your post and tell you that I'm soooooooo happy you have such a supportive teacher. It takes a really special person to see a way to make lemonade out of lemons ... I'm glad special you has a supportive person to help make that possible. As for the paper, ugh, I've had to write plenty a paper (not to mention my Master's thesis. Yuck! ) Once you get over the initial hump from procrastination to researching/writing, it gets soooooooo much better. Remember, take it in small chunks. Do a little bit everyday to help keep the forward momentum going. Erie, I dont say this nearly enough, but you're such a trooper. I really hope these good news items are some of the first in the changing of the tide for you. You deserve it. Hugs, Jeanna Nature, time and patience are the three great physicians. ~ fortune cookie
