In reply to:

but I would like to be able to maintain the movement I have now and when my wife walks me over to a park when I'm in my 80's, I'll be able to turn my head and watch these lovely ladies as they walk by.

Mig, not to worry, I don't know Dorritt personally (I hope I have the pleasure someday) but my instincts tell me she is probably used to the women flirting with our George and also knows he only has eyes for her.

Yeah Mig. I didn't think that anyone would interpret what I said in that sense. How about, "I'll still be able to turn my head and watch the little squirrels as they run by." (male squirrels of course).

Good addition to the stretch routine Smed. I'll try it that way myself. It will lets us do the stretches but let the rest of the body be more relaxed.

Hi Wayne,

This is what KickAS is really all about. We get to share what works for us and what doesn't. The sad part is that most Doctors aren't aware of some of the things we do to get relief or to fight against fusion. I know full well that if my Rheumy was to measure my head flexibility again and saw it had increased, he would naturally give credit to the pills he had given me some years ago that I had never taken.

The best part about this method is that we can feel what are limits are and we can tell whether we can put a little more effort into the stretching without doing any harm. Like I said, don't expect instant results but DO expect the flexibility to not worsen as time goes on.

Good luck to you and Smed,

George

Oh no,... now how did I go and give you both the wrong impression. Of course, I was only having some fun with your choice of words George (hence the little winking fellow .) It is all too obvious that you are a devoted man, and your wife is a lucky lady. Tho the little squirrels paint a much cuter picture... and male squirrels are even cuter still!

And there you are Kathy, like sweetness itself, jumping to his defense with all your cute little emoticons! Apparently, I should think thru my own choice of words more carefully!

Hugs to you both!

Hey Mig, I was trying to be funny as well.

Actually, when Dorrit and I go out shopping together and we happen to pass a buxom young lady in tight blue jeans and I partially turn and look, Dorrit just looks at me and smiles and is probably thinking, "at least his eyes are still working OK".

Hugs Back.

You're always funny George! lol

What? And there you go yet again! I know, I know, your eyes need lots of healthy exercise to stay in such good shape, right? No squirrels hanging out in the malls there George? Yep, you are a lucky man mister!

And more hugs.

Wayne,

Are you still in Sydney? Maybe we could meet up.

If I just do the same exercises the range just improves on the covered axis or plane, and I get painful stiff build ups elsewhere. So I vary the exercises over the week. Without the preddy it's useless.

I know you do n't like preddy, but have you had a low dose extended course. I can't handle more than 15mg a day without it being quite difficult to cope with the side effects but I've been below 10 for some time and it's like being on wd40.

It's slow but even in the last few weeks the amount of movement I consistently have is so much better. I was n;t much cop at the zoo as I'd just tailed again by 1 mg, but even that makes a big difference to side effects and benifit.

I know there are other steroids available, may be they might be more acceptable.

Must admit I'm not overly fond of taking it, it stresses me out a bit but the plus side is that I'm so much more comfortable and regained alot of my life.
