I fused up and down the spine but fortunately my kyphosis is not severe like old George had surgery for.Ihave done the recommended excercises according to the poster put out by the spondylitis association but I am rigid in spite of doing them since 1989.I think though , that it still helps me feel better in general.I also got rid of my thick multiple pillowsand use one thin one although I have to sleep in my Barcalounger a lot .I agree with others that you should stay away from the back crackers(chiropractors) if you don't want to be parylized.I also agree that there is no way to stop the fusion. But like we all say: move it or lose it! It sucks, but you will feel better if you continue swimming, walking etc.

Actually, when Dorrit and I go out shopping together and we happen to pass a buxom young lady in tight blue jeans and I partially turn and look, Dorrit just looks at me and smiles and is probably thinking, "at least his eyes are still working OK".

Yup, woman are always looking for signs of life. Eye contact is a biggie!

Kev,
thanks for the information.

Old George has got me motivated to fight it harder.
I know that I am not going to get huge gains, in fact I will probably only get tiny gains, but that is better than loosing more.

Thanks
Wayne

Old George and Mig,

I love your discussion.
I understand now how Old George is getting back some neck movement.

I have also been watching the Squirrels, in Bangkok, but I am watching the real Squirrels in the local Park, we do not have Squirrels in Australia.

Thanks again

Davo,

Still in Sydney, fly back to Bangkok Wednesday.

No I can't take Predisone, even on relatively low doses it makes me hyper, I can not sleep while on it, my heart feels like it is pounding out my chest. I will give it a miss until it is absolutely necessary.

Thanks for the suggestion though.

Hey Wayne!

Glad you enjoyed the discussion re: 'motivational' neck exercises!

Tho sorry to hear there are no little squirrels down in Oz. Perhaps you could try birdwatching!?!

Cheers!

Wayne, Old George motivated you because his comments turned into girl watching tips (ie. get that neck working so you can watch girls!). We know.

Hugs,

Kat
