If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

I am sorry you are having this frightening thing going on. It was a really big deal for me early on in my illness. We made many "wild trips" to the ER in the middle of the night with my heart going crazy. So were we :o) I was admitted for observation 3 -4 different times. I saw two different cardiologists. I was put on Propanolol and it did slow my heart but it also "slowed me". The last cardiologist I saw that he thought I was one of the few people who was truly intolerant of caffiene. The whold family went Decaf with every thing and I was able to get off the Propanolol. I haven't had but an occasional bout since then and that must have been 20 years ago. It doesn't frighten me as much now but I do get regular Cardio checkups.
I hope it works for you. After a while, I changed from Propanolol to Tenormin and then finally had to get off it because it slowed my bp down so much.
Best wishes.

Hi Maggie I'm new here was dia. in 1987. My pulse rate is also very high ranges from 100 to 130. It is higher when I have to walk alot. I have had Echos done on my heart for four years in row. No problems. Cardiologist can not find anything wrong. So he prescribe Metoprolol very low dose. I still worry about it though. Good Luck

Hi Mike Welcome to KickAS Gee - seems like a lot of us have fast pulses. It's not only the speed but the palpitations that scare me.The doctor is sure nothing is wrong and I am not sure. She feels I am suffering from anxiety and depression ( no kidding ) I feel certain that it may be connected to inflammation. As an update - I am going in February for an echocardiogram and I also finally get to go back to a rheumy. So, at least I am getting a little action going here. That alone feels better. I don't expect the rheumy to cure anything, obviously - I just want to know what's going on with me.The echo should, I suppose, either discover something, or, put my mind at ease For now, the propanolol has helped a lot - not perfect, but better. Maggie
