Hi everyone!!

Some of you may recall my "losing it on the rheummy" post several months ago...
Welp, my GP agreed with me about him and has stopped sending other patients to him.
He's sending me to a younger rheum and my appointment is tomorrow.

Am I nervous? You bet!! After awhile, it's almost like you can read their thoughts as they examine you... "Hmmm, she thinks she has AS.... doubtful. What should I have for lunch today? Damn! Forgot to pay the phone bill...." Know what I mean?

Anyway, thought I'd let you all know the scoop. My GP is so awesome. He's not only ordered a MRI of my LS spine, but of my neck and T-Spine as well!! He's johnny on the spot!! Why can't he be a rheummy, too??

All of you are in my daily prayers. Take it easy.

Love~

Stacie

Stacie,

I know what you mean when you say you wish your GP could be a rhumy too. I love my GP. Good luck on the appointment. Don't be nervous just take charge of the situation and let the doc know what you want accomplished. My wife gave me the best advice that I never listen too hahaha. Scotts Wife: Honey write down everything you want to get across to the doctor. I didn't listen to her until now. It helps alot.

Scott

Hey Stacie,

Hope it all goes well and that you've found a good rhuemmie this time. Have to say I've been lucky with mine from the onset. Heck I have a considerate GP and rhuemmie too.
Best wishes
Rob

Hi Stacie,

I wish you luck with your new Rheumie. It is so hard to find Rheumies who treat you well or take you serious. Such a shame. I am glad to hear that you have a good GP. It can many times be better to have a good GP than a good Rheumie. The two best doctors that I have ever had for my AS were GPs. The one that I am currently seeing and the one before I moved out here to NM from MD. I din't in MD, nor here, bother to even see a Rheumie as a good GP can be just as good, or many times better, than an average Rheumie. Of the 5 Rheumies here in NM, I was unable to find one decent one. Absurd.

You have every right to be nervous, and I wish you the best of luck. Hopefully you will find that the new doc will trun out to be a great Rheumie.

Take care,

Daniel

BY now hopefully you've met your new Doc and it hopefully was a success. Anyway looking forward to hearing how it went and of course very curious as to what the new Doc had for lunch and if that doggone phone bill was paid.
