I'm wondering if anyone here has noticed a difference in efficacy (how well the drug works) when using Enbrel 50mg (2 shots) once a week vs. 25mg (1 shot) twice a week.

Hi Mike,
Interesting question. I have been on Enbrel for 1 year and was doing great. Now I am doing ok, some pain in my hips and LB are back. I did switch to the 50 mg 1 x a week, and wonder if that is making the difference. I didn't think that it would because of the very long half life of Enbrel. I was doing great on Enbrel, now I have to add 50 mg of Vioxx here and there. I am trying to figure out if the weather (humidity) has any effect on me as well as various dietary things. What are your thoughts?

I have no idea. But I just made the switch myself and I haven't noticed much of a diffeerence yet. But I gave myself my first double shot just last Saturday and it's only Wednesday today.

YEa, you would think sticking twice the meds on one day would increase the efficient of the drug.......its like smoking two joints vice one.....though I don't smoke it.....or taking two pills of flexiril vice one.......Nope I don't know I still take one shot twice a week...

Hey Dan,
Why are you still doing the 1 shot 2 x a week? Curious...

Well it's because I hate shots, I can only take one shot at a time. Maybe I'am a baby, it's just that I got really mess-up'd once while getting a mylogram....."don't move or I'll hit a nerve"...by the doctor that was sticking me,...that I can only get siked for one shot.... that the only reason..
