Hi Mike,
I am a 24 female, I started taking enbrel in jan 2004 for A.S., 25mg twice a week. My rheumy told me to experiment with it. I tried going a few extra days in between shots and I I also tried doubling up on my dose with just one shot a week. Both had the same effect...I noticed that after the fourth day with out enbrel my body started to get a little stiffer, even when I was taking twice as much. The pain was nothing unbearable though just a stiffness. He figured if I could go longer inbetween shots it might save me some money. So my perfect dose of enbrel was 25mg on wed and 25mg on sat. My pain 99% disappeared. I love that drug!! I hope that helped a little.

I thought I was seeing double from using Enbrel....whew....
I went off for about 11/2 month and felt real stiff.....I am back on it.... thanks for Enbrel...just hope its not found later in time that's it bad for us....like vioxx.

I don't know what I would do with out it...let's hope for the best :)

Well, I've been on weekly dosing for 5 months now. I do notice that sometimes Friday and Saturday can be a bit rockier than Sunday (I take my shots on Saturday AM). But I think it's all in my head.

Anyway... MIRACLE!!

I inject Mondays and Friday, sometimes , ..tuesday and Sat....All within a week...two shots a week....7 day a week......sometimes I inject just once a week.....

So I gave my first shot of the new ENBREL pre-filled syringes last week and it burned like crazy. The old ones didn't hurt so badly.

This week, I took it out, warmed it well under my armpit (used to do that with frozen penicillin or albumin in the lab) and it only stung a bit. But I did my thigh this time and I did my abs last time.

Anyone else noticing this? Needles seem to be the same: 27 1/2 gauge (or 20-gauge). I think it's a preservative or something.

Back from 11 days in Maui...30+ ft waves up on the north shore...WOW! I definitely watched, and didn't surf! Bet you could ride them! Heading back in March, this time Maui and Molakai...thinking about moving in the future.

I'm new here. I just took my very first enbrel shot and it hurt a lot more than i thought it should have. it's good to hear that someone else is in the same boat as me. I tried it in my thigh, so maybe i'll try my belly next time. maybe we just have to get used to it, eh?
