If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Well, just gave myself my second 50mg dose yesterday. Feeling great today, of course. But no different than I was on Friday, really.

Hey Mike, That is great that you are doing well. I am wondering, now that I have switched, my pain level has gone WAY up, I am not sure if it is from the dosing regime, or something else... Ellyn

Ellyn, I believe its the weather, we are having a lot of storms coming up from the west heading this way and that topical depression heading from the south. You will notice that the weather does contribute to your extreme change in pain even if you taking Enbrel. Dan

Hi Dan, Hope you enjoy those lobsters! So, do you think it is the barometric pressure or the humidity or both? I hate taking 50 mg of Vioxx on top of Enbrel. Yesterday the vioxx didn't even really help. Hmmmmm Thanks, Ellyn

You know, I believe its a little of both. Right now, just as Alex started brewing up I started feeling joint pain. Now that it's a hurricane and its spewing rain all around the state my pain has intensified. So I believe its both barometric pressure/humidity. I also notice it when I travel to Texas. For the first two days, I am in pain then I start getting better as the week passes. So again. That's what my body feels with the weather. I was taking Bextar but I have stopped because it didn't do anything with Enbrel. I hope i enjoy the Lobsters too. Thanks for the info on Boston. Have a wonderful week. Dan

So, Dan, how did you do in that storm? Everything all right?
Went to my rheumy and she has me back on Enbrel 2 x a week instead of one. She also wanted to start methotrexate, but we decided to wait 6 weeks. I DON'T want to go on that!
Take care! Ellyn

With me, I'm sure it's stress.
All my flares this year coincided with inpatient rotations. Coincidence?

Hi Mike! Stress is not a fun thing! Does lack of sleep make you flare too? My Rheumy put me back on the 2 shots a week. No more 1 x a week for me! Ellyn

Ellyn, I know for sure that STRESS kicks up my AS. I used to work for the Post Office and I was under alot of stress. My pain was intense all the time. Also I had numerous major flare-ups during the 7 years I worked there. Since retiring, I have not had a major flare-up. I have small flare-ups where I can take medicine to help it. Before, I was taking alot of pain pills during the flare-ups that didn't work. Anyway, stress, weather are two of the major ingredients bad for AS. I can not say that my diet affects my AS, because I have been on the same diet since a child. The last time I saw my Rhuemy she wanted me to go with one shot, but I told her that I was during fine with twice a week. She did put me on Bextar because my ankel and elbow are hurting. I never had problem with them before. I take one Bextar a day but I have not seem any change in the pain of both parts. Good Luck

Ellyn, Sorry, I have not answered your post. I went down to Cape Lookout Lighthouse in North Carolina. The weather down there was beautiful and Alex didn't cause damage on that Island. Ocracoke Island took more damage from Alex. Here in Chesapeake all we saw was rain. Thanks for asking.
