FloridaDude, you don't know me all that well, do you.

'Cause if you did, then you'd know that any in political discussion I begin, stating of opinions and even friendly debate are encouraged - until it gets personal. Also, if you knew me better, you'd know that I am one of the first people to step forward when things go awry around here and mean spiritedness ensues.

Hugs,

Kat

Ian,

That is the smartest move nowadays, they were talking about publishing a cell phone phonebook here last spring. Where you would be able to look the cell number up in the book, but they would have to do some serious pricing changes. Either the feedback they got from the public or the profit loss they would have to shallow out weighted the chances of it happening. I was glad for that.

Just say congratulations President Bush and tough luck Senator Kerry. And say it to anyone you want:) The time for politicing(?) is over...it's now time to get behind the President and support him to the best of our abilities...like it or not.

Kat, you are so cool. On another websight I visited this morning we have been talking about the election and someone commented how people they have met from other countries are not particularly fond of the incumbent (and now the winner) and Americans in general, and wanted to know why Canadians seemed to prefer the challenger (and now the loser, I just saw the concession speech).

I think the wonderful sense of politeness and class you just displayed in inquiring how we were all doing down here this morning after our election process typlifies why Canadians are very well respected and appreciated by some citizens our our country.

We're tired. The result did not surprise me. And I will accept any condolences, thank you.

Florida person, there are AMPLE websights available on the internet to express your political opinions if you wish to start a fight. This is not one of them.

I think that all I would say to our dear friends and neighbours to the south is; "You have made your choice and it is now your duty to help make it work. It may not be easy for almost half of you but that is what democracy is all about".

What I would like to know is whether the rumour in Canada re Jeb Bush running for President in 2008 is really true?

Congratulations, you had half the population of Canada watching the "show" last night.

Hmm, Jeb vs. Hillary, that could be interesting

Well said! About both the results and where any discussions/arguements should be held. And I couldn't agree more with your statements about Canadians.

We had no idea half of Canada would care or be watching last night or at least I didn't, that's great. I was watching most of the election coverage via CNN online because they had live results posted for every state and county. Have to say I enjoyed it for a change, good close race and a lot of first time voters out this year from the ages of 18 to 30. It was great seeing the new generation moving up and taking a stand for what they believe it for a change, than their normal to not vote and spend the new four years fussing, because of who won.

Pete does your statement: "is over...it's now time to get behind the President and support him to the best of our abilities" mean we all have to get behind the Bush's to play now. I was gonna make a comment about Hillary when Bill won, but I'll behave in our family oriented play area.

It's going to take Jeb four more years to finish cleaning up what mother nature tore this year. Altough he has a tough job but I, don't see him as having a strong enough background to win the nomination for 2008.

I just wonder what the two John's are going to do for the next four years now that they have retired from the senate. I know Kerry will really has it rough since his wife only has 750 million dollars. I guess Edwards will be coming home here an open him another law practice if his wife will give him some money. I'm looking for him to run again in 2008, but am thinking it will be more in the line of the Governor's seat.
