[Jeanna]Hi all, after a bit of deliberation, we felt that we really wanted to share this bit of news with our KA friends. We're getting married on September 9th! I know, I know, that's super close, but the same madness that allowed us to believe that we could make our transatlantic relationship work after meeting here on KA has also given us the confidence to plan a teeny tiny wedding in less than two months time.[/Jeanna]

[Loz]Two months?!?!? Oh boy, lots to do... yes, as many of you know Jeanna has done me the honour of agreeing to be my bride and start a happy life with me together here in the UK[/Loz]

[Jeanna]We've found a place to have the ceremony ( Conservatory-close, Conservatory-wide) , and our tiny dinner of approximately 10 people afterwards (Bailey's) here in Winnipeg. And most important, I found my dress on Saturday, but shhh!! don't tell Loz (links withheld to protect the innocent ). [/Jeanna]

[Loz]I just hope Jeanna's going to be able to find a dress in which she feels as special as she is in this short time. Of course, I musn't let her down either {note to self} get something to wear on big day, after all, you'd look a proper fool without {/note}. Now then, I'm in a foreign land, so I will need somewhere to stay beforehand, and oh yes, honeymoon! Somehere to whisk her away to afterwards. [/Loz]

[Jeanna]Yes, yes, many details to plan, but you know me, I've already constructed a binder full of ideas and lists to make sure that everything goes off without a hitch. Just need someone to officiate, take photos, drive us there, make me a bouquet, and .. oh god, *deep breath*. Repeat after me, It will come together beautifully, it will all come together beautifully. Honestly though, I know the most important thing is that Loz and I are there, surrounded by the people we love most as we take this first step to join our lives together, all the rest, as they say, is gravy. (Oh god, Loz has to be there .. "Hello, Air Canada?" *just teasing*)[/Jeanna]

[Loz]Loz has to be there, ah yes, excellent point, mustn't forget to be there, in the circumstances my absense would most likely put a bit of a damper on the day. But not to worry, flights are booked already for me and my excited mum . Dad passed away of course, but hopefully I can bring a brother at the very least. It'd certainly be hard to plan a major event in this short time, but a hugley meaningful small event we can manage, just immediate family this time, we can make plans for a big bash next summer, KAers and our non KA friends - a Winnipeg KA par-tay [/Loz]

[Jeanna]Ah yes, next summer, when we bring out the numerous Ukrainian-Canadian family members for a day (or two, or three) of festivities. Let the records show that you've all been forewarned . So friends, that's all the (good!) news that is news from our respective parts of the world. September 9th is going to be here before we know it (in like 7 weeks and 4 days!!! ) Thanks for indulging us and being here to share our happy news with. We owe KA more than we can say...[/Jeanna]

...I can remember back when Mike my husband and I got married it was small......yes ....we became one...I'm still happy to this day...believe me ...it's what you make it to be ........Thanks for sharing.....God Bless 's

How great is this? I think that things will come together beautifully. I am happy for the both of you. I wish you much happiness in the years to come. Loz, you might want to consider having a candle at the ceremony to signify your father's presence, just a thought.

I'm glad to read that you Loz got the LAST word in. Although I might add that it was very wisely done my friend. Keeping it so short is the key to a great way to keep your nose clean and having it your way at the same time.
