Hi Pete!

I don't know about brighter, but it sure is snowy! Yup, the Winnipeg girl managed to bring the snow with her ... it snowed last night here in Leicester. You should have seen how excited I was!

As for the frequent flyer miles, I'm not sure how many we've actually collected, as we tend to shop around and fly different airlines depending on prices. But it is a lovely thought. And something Loz and I learned a long while ago, is that parting is easier if we knew specifically when we'd see each other again. My flight is already booked to fly home next July. I think that helps my family cope a great deal.

Thanks for your happiness for the two of us . While I wholeheartedly agree that we meld together very well, we're still two individuals (in fact our wedding bands are slightly different patterns to symbolise this as well ).

Love to you Pete.

Thank you Maggie. At some of the saddest moments, there were a few things that I'd say to family members. I'd remind them that closeness has little to do with physical proximity - that it's really about how close you are in your heart. The other thing I'd remind them, is that we're not the first people to have ever done this - that people do it all the time, and they do it well, stay in touch and visit often.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that it's been very comforting to have people that are close to me who can truly empathise with how tough it is, but also give sage advice, and are living proof that it can be done.

As I've just mentioned to Pete, Loz has already purchased me a ticket for a flight home next year. I'm hoping that until my career gets a bit more settled that perhaps my family and I can take turns flying out yearly. I'm sure it will work out.

Another thing I know - living it, is better than thinking about it. It's only a few days into it, but I'm so glad the hump of leaving is behind me, and we can just work on how it's going to work out from here on in.

Thanks for you continued support Maggie. It means loads.

Hugs,
Jeanna

Hiya Charlie:

Thank you for your kind wishes, and for saying that our path to each other has been romantic. We went out for a drink last night, and reminisced a bit about some of the hard decisions we've made along the way. It does seem the stuff that a modern day fairy tale is made of. I'll let you know if we ever write the book

Aww Chris, thank you for a very lovely/touching post. To have someone say that "you better believe we'd do anything for Jeanna" is a very heartwarming thing to hear. You're correct in that Loz will help me settle in, and we're in luck, bc I've already fallen in love with England, during my previous stays.

It's also heartwarming to hear you say that we're a true KickAS couple. Wondering how we can work that into our vow renewal next year .

Thanks for your best wishes, and I promise, you'll not have to get Bruno through airport security at any point in time, at least not for this situation.

Hugs,

Tim:

You have such a fresh, wonderful perspective on things. Your friends and loved ones, coworkers even, are so very lucky to have someone like you in their lives.

Thanks for your best wishes to the newlyweds. Today, our 6th day together in England, signifies the longest stretch of time we've been together as husband and wife, so it really does seem much more newly-weddy than our almost 3 months post-wedding would suggest!

Hugs to you, and your wonderful outlook.

...in which case you can bleep bleep take it back again! My hands went a shade of purple this morning...

'Then you should say what you mean,' the March Hare went on. 'I do,' Alice hastily replied; 'at least - at least I mean what I say - that's the same thing , you know.' 'Not the same thing a bit!' said the Hatter.

Zdog:

Thanks for replying in the thread, and giving me yet another example of someone (yourself) who's left their country to be with the love of their life. I'm glad that my home country has suited you well, and hope that it remains that way for a long time to come. As for the FSM, I've read about it curtosy of my best friend from med school, Ian. Entertaining to say the least...

Wow, you just never know what your full worth is, until someone offers up a trade on an internet group for arthritis sufferers! Have to admit, pretty excited that I'm worth a life long supply of Guinness (and not just the crap in the cans!)

Thanks for the reaffirmation of chips/crisps/lifts and lorries, etc. There certainly is a lot of weirdness to wade through in this part of the world .

Truly thanks Rick, for taking the time to post in such exquisite Rick-style, and for your good wishes.

Mig, Jo, one word for you both....

Awwwwww!

OK, so a sound much more than a word, but the sentiment is genuine.

Love and hugs to both,

Hi Paul:

You have a pretty apt appraisal of the situation there. I arrived in Manchester on Thursday, and given that we had the boys on the weekend, it's only been today and yesterday that I've really caught my breath.

Thank you for saying that my patients and Loz are lucky to have me, of course, I feel very lucky to have Loz in my life. I've never been in such a fair partnership before, the caring and love just flow so freely. Yup, I'm a terribly lucky girl.

Looking forward to seeing you and Pam soon. Loz mentioned that there may be some plans in the works already? Hope so.

Love,
Jeanna
