yep..we used to have a chat room..it was a great place to pop into...it helped me alot through some long nights after my back surgery a few years ago. i know they were working on another one awhile back so i dont know what the status is..but i'm sure there are quite a few members that would pop in to chat including this little bug!

Your thread got the Chat room that was started a bit ago going again, last night John (Cheerful), Mig, Timo, Holly (Moonbees) and I trialed it out.

Some bugs to work out, but headed in the right direction.

Yes, Holly had started on what was to be a nice surprise for members but was overtaken with family woes to top off her AS problems.

Sending out a big appreciative hug to our admin.. Hoping that she's coping well and can somehow pop in and give us an update herself.

Hello, all!!

The official word is that there is a KILLER KA Chat Room in development!! It is AWESOME!!

All the credit goes to TIM FROM OZ as he has offered the software for, and hosting of, the Chat Room AT NO COST TO KA!!!! How AWESOME IS THAT?!?!?! He is my personal HERO!!

As Klem stated, my personal woes have delayed the process to getting the Chat Room live. The Administrative team is now working out the last minute issues. We still have some testing to do. We hope to have the chat going in the next few weeks.

We may or may not need some member volunteers to help us do some testing. If you would like to be a volunteer, just post a note here. We will contact you via PM if we need you to help!!

We (the Admin Team) are so excited about the Chat Room!! We can not wait show it to you all!!

Sorry about the delay to post but I haven't been feeling myself lately.

I also think a chatroom would be beneficial and lately I wish there would have been one available. I'm not sure I even would have been able to get anyone to understand how I was feeling at the time or if I even would have felt better if it was available.

I actually asked the same thing on a previous post and those that responded either said they thought it would be a good idea or mentioned that there used to be one or that some of the members already use instant messaging. I'm glad to hear that a KA chatroom is in the works. I think it would be a great help to those that are in need of help as soon as possible.

I completely understand how much work it is on the admins here, especially with AS and all the hard luck the admins and others have been experiencing. I would like to say I really appreciate the work that you do. Your high membership is a good indicator of your success. I used to take care of multiple websites and it is A LOT of work. I don't think people realize how much until they've actually done it. Then there are those who forget that you are volunteering and make crazy demands of you or get angry when you don't get to something they asked you to do as soon as they would have liked.

If anyone is interested, I can provide a yahoo group that has a chatroom feature. In fact I've already played with it a bit. If the admin here approves, I will provide the link. Unfortunately if you don't already have a yahoo ID, you may have to create one. You will also have to sign up to the group. Also, if there is a low membership than more than likely the chatroom will be useless. Anyway, any admins that can approve or disprove, please PM me and I will provide the link for you to look at. It may be more effective just to wait for the KA chat.

Since there is no news about the chat room, I recently found one chat room, for AS people, wich was mentioned on the Nass forum: AS-ASSIST.
I should say I haven't tried it yet. It looks like is a new site, still in the beggining.
I personally am not very found of chat rooms, but if anyone wants to check it...
