If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

I'm a lucky one. I eat chocolat sometimes and coffee everyday and feel fine. Hope it stays that way. I wouldn't mind giving up the chocolat, but the coffee... hmmm I guess I would go crazy.

I think I kind of understand where you are coming from. For quite a few years I was reasonably happy to be able to control my AS by means of a diet instead of heavy medication BUT at the same time, I felt awfully sorry for myself and deprived of all the goodies such as cakes, cookies, bread and similar. And I had it ever so often (as one has to treat oneself, or so I thought) and then took painkillers to numb the AS pain. Kind of worked. And then I got Iritis which seems to be a lot more sensitive to starch then my joints. Not entirely sure if it is true though, currently checking out if there might be another underlying problem. Anyway, since I feel that starch is really bad for my Iritis and because Iritis can be quite dangerous, I had to review my attitude to my diet. And I realised, that AS actually has (in a very bizarre kind of way) made me live far healthier and more in tune with my body. I probably would not have taken up Yoga was it not for AS, I would not have started juicing, I would not be eating this great variety of organic veggies and fruits and nuts and seeds etc. Instead it would be a lot of refined starches, processed ready meals, transfatty take aways and similar (that was my diet before I found out about NSD). I still get cravings but quite frankly the fear of Iritis stops me giving in. And my new attitude that eating 'treats' that actually harm one's body are not really treats.
However, as a reply to Zelia's original thread, if bread works for you, go for it, each and every one of us has to find our own individual way to work out the best way of dealing with AS.

Excellent comment Christina, I feel the same way. Over a year ago our company changed our medical plan and your insurance is based on various health factors... height/weight, cholesterol, blood glucose, smoking, blood pressure etc... I scored a 97 out of 100 points thanks to how healthy I now eat. This would not have been the case pre-NSD. I had the 2nd highest score at our manufacturing facility (120 individuals).
Eating a lot of fruits and veggies has its benefits.
Tim
AS may win some battles, but I will win the war.
