If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

I suspect you would believe it cause like me you would be a fan of a being that is part mermaid and part sponge cake.

This is a very interesting question. I have searched through my family histories from my mom and my dad's side and nobody had anything close to A/S as far as I know. My dad's parents split up after he was born and his mother married another man who gave her two more children but he died in a war so I have no info on him or on my dad's step brothers. All I can think of is that the factor in the blood is there but something must cause it to trigger the A/S at a specific time in your life. When I first started having the pains at age 19 my parents blamed it on the motorcycle accidents I had had previous to it. Could it be possible to skip say 10 generations? Steve

Hello
My AS came from my father. My uncle also has it. Strangely enough though my father said his parents and grandparents didn't have AS, and he is not aware of any family history!!
Good luck

Unfortunately, my family doesn't keep good track of medical history beyond my immediate family and grandparents. Also, it is not common in certain countries (so maybe went undiagnosed)? I guess I'm number 1 in my tree

Thanks guys for all your warm thoughts for Tiff and little Jack...
They went back today for the 2nd week casts and he now weighs 5lbs & 9ozs..yea!!!!!
My little Sweetpea is finally gaining weight!!!!
I am so shocked by all of your answers, I was sure I was kind of in a catagory all by myself with the AS just kind of showing up and our family sitting around here puzzled where it came from.
Listening to you all it seems like it is about half & half and I am really surprised.
Bad for you guys, but it does make me feel better that I am not alone...since ALOT not all of the Drs. and literature and information you read say it is hereditary.
I see where the hereditary comes in, but I can also see where accidents, enviornment, bacteria, stress and other factors can cause it....SOMETHING sets it off.
Keep the posts coming guys!!!! and thanks..
Lisa
