Hi H2O girl

Hey - a tv show does sound like an idea. I'll poke around on the internet and check some out. Our time will be limited though.
I went to the Womens'Republican Club website. It looks magnificent but no prices. I may call them but I'm also not sure I'd fit in as a republican. LOL - NO disrespect meant to anyone at all.
Is it open to anyone or would one have to become a member ?

Thankyou so much anyway for your help.
Yes I will definatly eat a lot !!!!!!!!! Thanks for the sugestion

Maggie

Say, Maggie, in addition to Macy's, I would also recommend Bloomingdales. I had a great time in there when I was in NYC many years ago. Of course, it's been 21 years, so things might have changed. It's across the road from a super toy store called F.A.O. Schwartz (??) that had the best stuff in it!!

Then, I walked down 54th (??) to the Empire State Building. Rather stupid in retrospect. How was I supposed to know that 'just a few blocks down the street' in NYC is equivalent to the other side of town in Toronto!

Many hugs,

Kat

Yes`Yes - Macy's AND Bloomingdales.
Ecxellent recommendation Kat.

This is going to be a rather fleeting visit. I have a feeling I'll be wanting to go back for more

Hugs
Maggie

LOL Maggie,
No, you don't have to be a republican, just don't try to go on a political mission to the contrary. It is a wonderful place to stay - there is a fantastic library, a sitting room w/balcony on the top floor. The front views overlook St. Patrick's cathedral. The rates are so reasonable it seems just wrong for 2006!
You do have to be persistant in calling and making a reservation, but I highly recommend it.
