Well Guys!

Not sure what to do..

There is still some blood after 7 days, the Dr. thinks there could be a stone or crystals and wants to do some x-rays.

I have not seen the tab since friday which stood at around $800.00

I just dont know what to do, if we bring him home as he is he might die even after going thru all of this.

As much as we love him and Tori would be devastated we can not continue running up the bill which I am sure is over $1000.00 by now.

I think there may be a couple of charges on the bill I can take off for around $150.00 surely it wont be more than that for x-rays.

What I am worried about is if they find something else then what???

Just venting,

Lisa

Hi Lisa

My son has a puppy who has thyroid problems, and we could see that this puppy is losing ground. The puppy is 9 years old and has had thyroid problem from birth. They were told they could put the puppy on some heavy duty medication, but it didn't mean the puppy would ever get better. Plus the puppy looks like he might have to have major dental work. My DIL has always taken very good care of their puppies teeth, but for whatever reason, maybe the thyroid problem has cause a problem for this dear puppy's teeth.

My son and his wife are not able to pay for all the medical bills, and unfortunately we are not able to help. With sadness in their heart they have decided that when the time comes that they would let nature take its course, and until then they will show this puppy how much he is loved until the end.

Lisa, as for your dear puppy I am not sure of what the answer should be. If putting more money into keeping puppy alive is not going to give him any better chance at a healthy life is it fair to prolong his suffering. Did you say how old your dear puppy is.

I so hope I haven't over spoken my thoughts. I know whatever is the best decission for your puppy your family will make it.

I pray for your puppy's good health.

Kind thoughts and prays are there for you and your family.

Many hugs are going your way.

Well, we finally brought our thousand dollar baby home after 8 days...

The grand total was $1468.00

Now the scary part starts...making sure he eats and drinks and can go to the bathroom.

He is like the typical patient who just got home from a hospital stay...he is sleeping & gripy...lol

Lisa

ps Our baby use to weigh 18lbs when we took him to the vet he was 15lbs and now that he is home he weighs 10lbs what does that tell you about what he went thru.

Gerri,

Thanks for the support!

I am still worried about him..alot of sleeping and grumping..its like when you talk to him he has to gripe at you probly about all they did to him at the vet..lol

I am not sure we might still lose him, he did lose 1/3rd of his body weight in the 8 days he was there.

Please keep us in your prayers,

Lisa

Hi Lisa

It's so hard seeing a puppy sorry kitty not feeling well. Love him and pet him just let him know that you are there for him. Maybe like you said the hospital stay was very hard on him. Like humans, once home it does a lot to improve one's spirit, and hopefully that is all it is.

My thoughts and prayers are there for you Ryan for a speedy recovery.

PS: Ryan please forgive me for calling you a puppy. (My puppy wasn't feeling good - has a touchy stomach - and had a rash - gave him a nice bath - put some sauve on his tummy - maybe I also had him on my mind - he does seem to be doing better now). So Ryan I hope you will forgive me.

Take Care all

Gerri,

No big deal I just appreciate your support...

He seems to be doing a BIT better, but right now Tori and I are having to force him to at least eat.

We of course are doing the new food and I am sure he doesnt like it. I have been putting a few bits in watered down chicken broth..I think he just went thru so much it is just going to take some time (I hope)

Lisa
