Hey, Jaye---

I think recommend or not recommend, and then PM for details.

That keeps it really simple.

Must have been telepathy JR cause my little grey cells were regarding that very point earlier, like early hours this morning...
Maybe a list of who one sees, and 1 - 10 yard stick or, only post the gooduns. But it could be fraught with pitfalls. Needs consideration and suggest that it is correctly and properly looked into by the Forum owner and all the members of admin.

There should be ways around it by pm'ing - but would not like to hazard!

I just checked out the site - Jaye, the heading is 'Post Your Great Doctor Here'. So, no negatives. Which I would reckon is the way to go.

Only a small number of posts but great information including one doctor who runs a free AS hospital clinic and another doctor who has come out of retirement cause he misses the patient interaction.

I think it is good idea also BUT I would want to know the negative stuff because if you get a goofball, or someone who isnt caring or like me after going to him for 15 years and I mentioned I was going for disability and he said "I DONT DO DISABILITY LETTERS" you would want to get the heck out of there or not waste your time.

For me going to him for 15years and we had always had a good relationship I thought (my mistake) he would be a good Dr. and a good recommendation for disabilty since he had been the one to shoot me up with cortisone in every joint been with me in the hospital...ect

Even though he is kind and listens to you IF you needed a rhumy to help you with disability you would not want to waste you time with him

I think this is a great idea! As for the concern over libel suits if people name doctors and have negative stuff to say ... All you have to do is make it clear that this is your opinion and your experience with the doc. Then, you aren't out and out calling him/her a bad doc, just saying that you had a bad experience. Which would be the truth.

What say our Admins?

Hugs,

Kat

Good Post Jayne'

I don't have a rheumy. I am apparently getting a referral to one ( that was recomended by my hairdresser) by my GP. If he remembers to send in the referral But i will keep after him on this one

Take care
