if you have iritis and it doesnt get treated right away can the pain and swelling go away so it appears everything is normal.... im wondering because last month i posted about my eyes hurting real bad i never got them treated and now other then feeling tired my eyes are fine. should i still have them check for iritis or uveitis iforgot to mention it because im so use to it now is that ive had floaters for over 10 years now, and now with the pain and the extreme light sensitivity im not sure what to do...............oak

Oak, I would get them checked out for the simple reason that we don't get another chance for more eyes. We have to take care of them. The Mayo drs. told me that Uveitis/Iritis is the second leading cause of blindness and that you have to stay on top of it.

I hope you will get it checked out.

Blessings.

Yes go get them checked .. iritis is nothing to mess with. I went to doc last week because I thought I had iritis.. but nope... whew... it was just most likely the contact lenses were really irritating my left eye plus dry eyes.

I don't know the answer to your question, as to whether you might still have Iritis. However, I would not take a chance, you're talking about something that can be serious. I would not put it off any longer. Get thee to an eye doctor! If your eyes check out OK, then that's great, if not then you can start working on getting them cured. As they say, "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure".

Well. altho I don't have iritis right now, my doc does see evidence of old iritis.. aka "residues"

Hi Oak,

This really is, what I believe is now referred to as a "no brainer"! Yes - you should get your eyes checked out ASAP!!!

Good luck,
