If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Hi I have a question are there any sufferers out there who have pins and needles. And can i get my prescription of axycontin filled from Cananda. I have to pay 25% of my meds, which is quite costly so i was wanted to know how that scheme works. Is is legal, as this is a controlled med #2.
The pins and needles i have is down my spine in my neck and hands and feet. I know AS sufferers are diferent but i don't think i have come across someone who has it like I do.My hands feel like they have gloves on all the time and are stiff, AS? thanks guys

Hi Mellie,
Im not sure if I have what you are talking about, mine is called restless leg syndrome where my whole leg both of them at night feel like pins and needles or like I just cant keep them still, I do at times have tingling in my hands so I dont know, I was on Requip for awhile but I didnt see any difference so I stopped the med. Any meds I can stop I will since I am on like 20 or so pills a day.
As far as your Oxycontin I am taking that also, I believe I pay about $30.00 for 60 of them they are the 20mgs ER (extended release)
Me personally I dont think I would trust any place with my meds that I didnt know or I couldnt see, I have just heard of too many horror stories more like sending you fake drugs. I just watched a special where it is becoming a huge problem.
What you might do as an example I am not sure what your dosage is but tell your Dr. about the cost being a burden for you and asking him if he would double it EXAMPLE if you are taking 10mgs 2 times per day ask him to write a script for 10mgs 4 times a day so you would get double the pills for maybe a bit more of the price but use them like normal just the 2 a day.
My Dr. has done that for me on some of my scripts because I take so many, at one time my drugs were costing us about $300.00 a month or more.
I hope you get things worked out.
Good luck,
Lisa

Oak,
I completely forgot about the Fibro even though I have it...lol must have taken too many pain pills tonight..lol
But yes Fibro messes with all your muscles sometimes hurting, sometimes sore so it could be that also.
Thanks for reminding me

Hello Mellie, I do not have much to offer as far as the meds script..but I wanted to let you know that although I do not have restless leg syndrome I do have the pins and needles..I have it in my feet..but my hands are the worst..and it really hit me when I read your post right now. I was about to hit the sack when I peeped in here and read your post. I have that same feeling..the stiffness in my hands...bad..and they feel like i am wearing gloves..I always tried to find a way to describe it and YOU hit it right there! Through the years I have learned to try to work around it...I dropped so many things..on my feet...LOL...on the floor...the kids still tease me b/c my hands are so clumsy. I was in bad shape this weekend with them. I kept telling the kids..rain must be near..but the forecast said sunny...but my hands were so stiff...sure enough..we got hit with rain...Me thinks I need a part time job as a meteorologist...lol... I hope you get some answers for the meds part....best wishes...your friend buggy...

Hi Mellie
Unless you are registered with a doctor here in Canada, no ER, no clinic, no hospital will give you a prescription for a narcotic, or controlled med.
I went 9 months without a doctor, and I couldn't get any medication which wasn't previously prescribed. Even now my family doctor will not prescibe most meds, because of my severe allergies, and liver problems.
Hugs

Hi Mellie, I will give a response about the pins and needles as I dont know anything about the med. part of your post. For about 10 or 11 months last year, I had pins and needles in both feet all day every day. My arm and hands would occassionly act up with the same sensation with one side of my face becoming numb. The Dr. I was seeing said it was classic sign of MS. Turned out it was found I have DDD throughout my spine and quite alot of bone spurs in my c-spine area. This caused spinal stenosis( narrowing of the spinal canal) which accounted for the strange sensations. It took being adjusted chiropractically 3 times a week for 3 months before it went away. Sorry to ramble on but wanted to let you know my experience. Have you had X-rays and /or MRI's done to see if this might be the case? Take Care, Kathy

Gerri, What if your Dr. in the US writes you a prescription? Then can you get it filled in Canada? Just a thought.
I know it's fairly common for people who live in border areas to go to Canada for their prescriptions.

Hi Janet
To be honest with you I don't know about prescriptions brought over from a doctor in the states.
I just know that doctors here will not give you a prescription for narcotics, or controlled medication, unless you have proof of having been on the medication before.
Hugs
