Well now, from reports around here, there could be a big ownership shake-up, and if that happens, the GM is history as no one wanted him other than the one owner..... the Ontario Teachers Pension Board has been the largest shareholder for quite a few years now, and talk is that they are selling at what could be a 40,000 % profit!!!!!!! Ya, that's right forty thousand percent!!  They had an interview on CBC during Saturdays game with none other that Scotty Bowman, you know him, he's the one that made Detroit the powerhouse that it became. That would be unreal, and possibly make Toronto a powerhouse contender in 3 - 5 years!!! Awesome, but this could all be a nasty dream too......

40,000%!?! Wow.. that's quite a profit!
From what TSN online is saying, S. Bowman's not planning on moving anywhere anytime soon. I can't say as I blame him.. Detroit's most likely going to take the cup this year (although it pains me to say that).

Seriously though Doug, a few years ago, they put one of those temporary skating rinks in our coliseum and tried to have a hockey team....I got all excited about it but two things happened....
1. They got their b*##s kicked!
2. Nobody bought tickets after seeing how terrible they were!!
The Ice Pirates! Can you imagine a hockey team from Louisiana??!! They had to teach 'em how to skate and then teach 'em how to play!! I say......let those that can, do.....and let those that can't watch!!!
