If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Sue - must take Strontium on an empty stomach. I usually take mine first thing when I wake up (that is easiest for me as I don't usually eat breakfast).
Also, IF taking supplements, then take them several hours apart from the Strontium, otherwise you upset the uptake of the Strontium - another reason to choose which part of the day to take what...!
Agree about the mag sulph/stront balance... 'smile'

james,
i was going to ask what you meant by not together, but i think molly answered that by different times in the day.
also, i'm curious why i haven't heard about strontium (from doctors), basically only about calcium / vit D, and the drugs. doesn't matter though, speculating as to motive does no good.
thanks for letting me know about your research results on the strontium,
sue

you said you had to beg for the test just like i did, how old were you when you had to beg? i was 37 or 38 when i asked for it. were you under 40 too? or older? i wonder how old one has to be before they don't make us beg. but i'm glad we both stuck to our instincts.
i know steroids can cause osteoporosis. i wonder if that's one of the factors in your osteopenia?
but it sounds like there are things we can do to increase bone density, like the calcium, magnesium, vit D, and strontium. so that is encouraging.
i know what you mean about the exercise and not being to able to do all we want. so i try to walk as often as i can, as i think walking is supposed to be one of the best weight bearing exercises and its a lot lower stress on my body than most everything else i try. i can also tolerate swimming at times, and in a therapeutic pool, water therapy is supposed to be one of the best exercise programs for someone with arthritis. however, i know from my own experiences that what might seem like an easy simple thing to do, is often not the case.

Hi Sue
My ex-doctor was under the impression I was a nut case. I communicate better by writing things down. It's hard to get across what I am trying to say. In a letter I posted her one month before she fired me I asked to have the bone density test done. She ordered it, because it was written done. She fired me in June and then whe I got my file back, she hid the this test. It came back positive to Osteopenia.
Prior my ex-doctor said I didn't fall into the catagory of a person having osteopenia. I had gained weight, and wasn't a smoker. She didn't realize my other medical issues were causing me to gain weight. I don't take in a lot of calcium, only through supliments. My parents were heavy smokers, and I am product since birth of second hand smoke. I have many breathing problems. I already have a fracture on my spine, and at my clavicle, in front of my breast bone, this all happened in my thirties.
I was in my 50's when I started begging to have this bone density test done. My friend said it was unusual any doctor would refuse you in your 50s.
I had bronchial asthma for over 30 years. If I over do any exercising, I will go into an asthma attack. For this reason I take my inhalers. My asthma is barely under control, but I am more scared to take my inhaler as it has a stubstance in it I am allergic to so, I carry it and take it for imergancies only, along with allergies pills I take daily, because I don't know when I will need my inhalers.
There are many substances like medication, vitamins, over the shelf medication, I can't take because they have sulfa, sulfites, sulfates and/or sulfer. I have had anaphalatic shock in the past. So I do exercise in moderation. Try to eat properly, knowing if I set off a flair there is nothing I can do. Having liver disease pretty much eliminates every other drug, because it will do damage to my liver. (not alcohol drinker or drug user) That's why now I am asking to be tested for Celiac's disease.
hugs
Gerri
