Inanna,

Thank you for respecting my right to express an opinion.

If certain interest groups had their way, it would be criminal to question the prescription of psycotropic meds.

But this is America, and as of yet, we have not completely abandoned the provisions outlined in the US constitution.

Napolean said something like - medicine is a collection of uncertain prescriptions whose overall value is questionable.

I agree with that sentiment.

When you say a poster is looking for support, while complaining about the side effects of a psycotropic med - and telling her the only hope she has in life is to obtain a different presciption for a new fangled pharmaceutical - as some posters have - is not support - not in my mind anyway.

This is the interent, where ordinarily people search for different views form different sources, and not one-sided points of view.

This being the internet, it also means that information from posters sometimes comes form commercial interest groups.

If you ever used a usenet newsgroup, to search for techncial information, you would know what I mean. You can get great information on a newsgroup, but you have to be leary of information that comes from vendors.

I am not trying to sell anything here, or encourage anyone to consume a product.

Caveat Emptor - LET THE BUYER BEWARE.

Dear Ben,

One correction. This is not America actually, this is KickAS, an international site for the support of Ankylosing Spondylitis and related illnesses and as such is not governed by your constitution but by the R&R's document (to which all of our members have agreed to abide upon joining KA) to be found in the top menu bar.

I would encourage you to re-read the document as well as Kat's post and take into consideration the spirit of respectfulness that these words convey.

Opposite viewpoints certainly can be of a supportive nature, but a debate on pharmaceutical conspiracies is not going to be continued in this thread. If you have any questions please feel free to PM me.

Thanks,
mig

Ben,

I am in total agreement with Mig's post.

This IS an international site. The US constitution has no bearing on the rights and regulations of this site. The site isn't even HOSTED in the USA. Every KA member acknowledged, as a condition of membership, to abide by the KA Rights and Responsibilities.

You were asked to not to debate the issue of these drugs on this thread. I strongly suggest that you listen to community for which you voluntarily joined.

As the Chief Administrator, I would greatly appreciate your cooperation!
Holly
