If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Hi Everyone,
So I went off my med's (humira/mtx) 6 mths ago so my husband and I could try to start a family. Well, about a month or so ago, I started having more numb areas, especially on the outside of both my knees. Both of my hips are always numb and lately, the numbness has been moving down the outside of my upper leg into my knee areas. I've never had issues with my knees before this. Anyone have experience with knee numbness? Do you think this could be because I'm not taking any med's and AS is having free reign over my body?? Thanks!! Renee

I have joints that go numb for no particular reason. They don't stay numb forever. It'll last anywhere from 5 minutes to a few days. My arms are worse than the rest of my body, but all of my joints join in on the fun. I don't have an answer as to why, but you're definitely not alone! Sarah

Renee, Hi. I had numb knees about 8 years ago. They were swollen and very odd feeling. It last all winter and then got better. I don't know why, I did not have insurance then. I do get that feeling on the sides of both knees, but not like I did years back. Welcome and I hope you feel supported and loved here at KA.

i can say that my side of face numbness and wrist/hand numbness is from muscle spasms pressing on nerves. (PT and doctors helped me see this)
i can also say that when my SI inflammation is pressing on my sciatic nerve, i have sciatic down my leg to varying levels. but it feels more like a bad charlie horse than numbness.

Hi Sue.. I know what you mean by nerve pain/numbness, but the outside of my knees feel different than that. It's really odd because they don't really hurt, they're just constantly numb now for the past month or so... I'm anxious to see my Rheumy next Weds and see what she has to say... Take Care!

let us know what the doctor says. i know what you mean about new symptoms; my knee pain is similar to some pains i've had in the past in other areas of my body, but different in other ways. so not sure if i'm treating it right, but hopefully the PT will help next week.
