First I want to thank everyone for the responses to my other post and let you guys know where things stand for the moment. The PET did not light up any cancerous cells in the spot in my left lung. The doctor said the odds are now less than ten percent of it being cancer. He is setting up another CT scan in two months to check for any growth in the size of it before doing a biopsy for a rarer form of cancer. I have to have more blood work done tomorrow and an Alpha 1 Test which I have not looked up to see what it is. He s also setting up a pulmonary function test to be done before seeing him again. At the moment the news apears to be better than before.

About the question I had asked in the other post about when one is told their time is short I have thought about that question several times before and it really scared me each time I had thought about it. Then when the doctor called me in last week to tell me my chances were very slim I found myself at peace with the news and the only fear I had was seeing my kids reactions. I'm sure glad for now I did not say anything to them about what may or may not be going on.

Will keep you guys updated as I get more news.

Brent
