If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

aloha, wanda
hope you're doing well with everything...i should have touched base with you but the lack of home connectivity has just changed some things for me; i don't follow up as well as previously.
we had 19 inches of rain in june and july- a lot of exploded tomatos and rotting peppers out there. wind and rain today will probably just about finish the garden... i have two cantelopes and a pumpkin left and not much else to pick and one not yet ripe butternut squash...the redemption was my potato crop- excellent yield of Red Dale and Yukon Gold, not so great Butte russets...oh and i got some blues too.
time to start to bag the trash...i do try to clean my space at the end of the year. next year i need to remember to work on more mulch earlier.
oh and i've been comfortable lifting loads of about 20 lbs, so i've been getting stronger but i still limit myself to about and hour or an hour and a half 'work time' a day; stamina is still not great.
all my best pu liki

hey, any mesc in that medicine cabinet?
funny true story...you know i do try to follow my favorite rock and roll bands- even at my advanced years...i have become friendly with some much younger folks over the past several years...college kids. twice it's happened: in belgium someone offered me a hit of lsd and in new york a tab of ex...i laughed so hard i cried; i didn't take either but it's nice to still be in the club.
oh...and, yes, i've learned to enjoy willie nelson...i saw waylon jennings back in 1973 in colorado springs- a near riot of a show- he played with the New Riders of the Purple Sage...so they had hippies and cowboys, real cowboys not sear's cowboys, at the show it was an adventure...love waylon's music.
hope you're well all my bets pu liki

thanks.
unfortunately all of this is a trial and error process. i remember your trying enbrel and humira; i thought you had some success with 'em. tuff... each of these has about a 60% 'success' rate, and i got lucky. i read someplace that you aussies have a couple thingees in trials, do hope you find something that works as well for you as enbrel has for me.
all the best good luck

Aloha yourself, Ben!
I haven't had much time to post lately. It's the beginning of the semester and I've been working much more than usual. Things should calm down in another week or two.
The adventure? Well, it's been adventuresome lately, I'll give it that. After the visit to the Pittsburgh rhuemy a few weeks ago, I had a pelvic MRI done. He wants "objective evidence of enthesitis" before he'll prescribe serious drugs. Had the MRI almost two weeks ago, called the doc's office twice, but they still haven't relayed the results to me.
Pittsburgh rheumy referred me to the venerable Khan, the Cleveland rheumy. Called Khan's office and was told I couldn't make an appointment until they got my records. Took 18 phone calls and 2 faxes, but finally got the records successfully transferred. Khan's office called to tell me they had the records, but Khan isn't taking new patients? WTH????
Got cortisone injections in the feet, but they didn't help much. Will probably repeat the pleasant cortisone experience on Monday.
Either my ribs are inflamed or I have pleurisy. That's a new one for me.
PT of almost 2 years up and quit on me. Saw a new one last week and he seems to be a bright spot in the medical morass. He's not a "Stretch and Strengthen" PT. Has good manual skills, listens to me and believes what I tell him.
I think there is an evil deity out there who wants to see how much frustration we earthlings can tolerate before we snap.
Take care of that garden, Ben.

) I like Waylon's music also. We were big Johnnie Cash fans too. We made it to two of his concerts, one of them with front row seats which pleased my husband much more than me. Don't like it "quite" that loud. We also made it to Elvis' last concert tour. Now that was one good concert. We still like all of the music. Just not hard rock or rap. Still like the 70's music a lot. I listen to a lot of Christian music also. Oh, my medicine cabinet is not near that interesting. In fact, I am so boring that my kids about passed out when I was buying the red wine for my anemia. I did go to the out of the way liquor stores to buy it but in a small town I drove a car that everyone recognized. Sear's cowboys? Remember you are talking to an Okie here. I don't think Sear's have cowboy stuff here. Got to go to the Western stores which there are many of. I have my Western hats, levi's, shirts, belts, boots, etc. The only thing is today I put on my levi's and my boots and decided that I did not need the height of the boot heel for my back so I am back to some "booties" low cut and flat heels that look like boots sticking out of my levi's. You never know what to expect from this Okie Granny. I tend to dress to please my sweet hubby a lot. I tend to listen to music he likes and have learned to like football and NCI. He learned to like to shop and garden. ) I guess that is how me have made it for 48+years. We both like to hang out at our artsy district in the city. We like the music and the arts and the fun. I never was in the club. I have never even had a beer. I guess a lot of people would consider me well into the club if they knew the pain meds I take. It is still 68 degrees here at 11:00 a.m. It has been really feeling like early fall. We are really enjoying our garden while it lasts. Won't be too long before it starts preparing itself for winter. (Because I sure don't prepare it) We are going to repot house plants this weekend before he has surgery. My rubber plant is so huge and top heavy that the least little wind blows it over. We are going to repot and then I will leave them out as long as possible and let the son-in-law bring them in. They do so well out on the patio. It has been fun visiting with you. I hope you have a great weekend. Put some good music on and kick back. Do you like to read? That is something else we do a lot of. Talk to you soon. Hope you have a good weekend. Blessings. Ben,
Yes, there is a divide! I know what you mean! When my dad was still a clean-cut law student, he and his law-school buddies went to Mississippi to register black voters. This was shortly after those three civil rights workers were killed, so it was no small thing. Bear in mind that my father was, at the time, a small-town Washington-state kid, former high school wrestler, etc. Guess who was their team leader in Mississippi? Abbie Hoffman.
