If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

I rode the bus to the starting line. It was raining so I didn't get out of the bus until one of the race officials told me I had to. The starting gun went off, and about 8 minutes later I crossed the starting line. That is how it goes with over 6000 runners. St George Marathon The first four or five miles I ran with a long sleeve t-shirt on, and gloves. At that point I took the long sleeve shirt off because it was soaked from all the rain. I still had my running shirt on. I kept my gloves on until about mile 9. The run was wet and cold, but went well until about the 17 mile mark. It was then that I started to break down. I had sore hips, and tired muscles. I kept going I was just going slower now. At the aid station at mile 19 I had them rub my legs down with icee-hot, and then I was off again. I repeated the icee-hot rub down at the 21 mile aid station. I crossed the finish line (gun time) at 4 hours 59 minutes and 59 seconds. My chip time (actual time from start to finish)was 4 hours 52 minutes and 14 seconds.
It rained almost the whole race, I could hear a squish, squish as my feet hit the ground. I was hoping to be under 4 hours and 30 minutes, but that went out the window at about mile 19. I did finish. Two of my friends were talking about when they took ibuprophen during the race. I was thinking I am the one with arthritis, and I didn't take any ibuprophen. I was glad I didn't fall, and that I finished. I was glad it was cool, but I could have done without the rain.
