Hi Lisa....let's see, I've been on the z-pack for 5 days and amox also, I have 5 more days before I'm finished with that but I would've thought that I'd be feeling somewhat better by now, I still can't sleep more than 2-3 hours at a time, I wake up when my chest gets heavy with the congestion and I'm still with fever and it spikes and that wakes me up....

Hi Kim....I think you're right, the antibiotic isn't doing the trick, so I'm heading back to the ER, I don't want to let this drag on any longer and get worse than it already is and I'm taking my meds with me, thanks....

Be prepared if you have good insurance they may put you in the hospital. Being in the hospital is pretty useless except they will do your antibiotics by IV which is quicker and they can give you stronger ones, for it to be this long and you still can't sleep and a fever they should get you right into a room.

Let us know what happens, be sure and take both scripts or tell them you were on the Z-pak and now this one with no improvement.

Good luck,

Lisa

Wow Lisa...you're good...they only kept me overnight to administer IV antibiotics and hydrate me, I thought that I was doing a good job of staying hydrated but evidently not... Well, I'm off to lay down for a little while, just wanted to let you know how it went...you predicted it to the letter...

Hi Wendy...it's going, that's for sure... They poked me with a needle and made me spend the night...the nurse told me that they had a bed shortage or they would've kept me longer.... I told her I couldn't stay, I'd just left a slammin' party and needed to get back but she was bigger than me, so....

Hey Michelle,
Fingers crossed that does the trick... I hope you're able to sleep for longer now. Thinking of you.

Good gosh Michelle - I have been all worried about you! I am so glad you went to the ER and pray you can knock this infection out soon. Sounds like your immune system is a bit too low...

Hang in there and sleep sleep sleep! If you need, get back to the ER sooner rather than later. This is not a little thing with the meds you've been on so make sure those docs look after you.

Warm concerned hugs
mig
