Hi Kiwi and Inkyfingers,
There is so much good advice you have given me, thank you for taking the time to write this all up. I have so much respect for all the knowledge you both have, thanks for sharing it and helping my husband.

Hi, Laurie:

I sure studied this problem to death! But no, I never developed candidiasis to the extent that I always passed the spittle test. Thinking about it, perhaps it was due to the fact that I used to fast so often, but I have been on many cycles of antibiotics and even steroids after operations and have still avoided the fungus...knock wood! But it remains a major concern and is probably a complicating factor in 50% of those of us with AS and a trigger factor in some percentage--perhaps 15% of us actually get AS due to first having severe bowel permeability due to the yeast overgrowth.

Best to You, and to Danny,
John
