If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

A long time ago I posted a question about having encephalitis as a child. I was baffled by some of my symptoms and questioning whether it was AS or not. I thought maybe somehow my illness as a child had something to do with it. The severe arthritis centered around my spine among other symptoms fit, but something just wasn’t right. On February 26th of this year, someone very close to me passed away. He babysat my kids, was a deckhand on my husbands boat, a dear friend and most of all he was the little brother I never had. I was broken. That was when an abundance of new and bizarre symptoms hit me like a ton of bricks. I thought I was going crazy. My head hurt so bad I wanted to die. Then after several doctors, lots of $ I can’t afford and some serious research…I finally found out the truth. In 1973 I was bit by a tick and a week or two later I developed Lyme encephalitis. I have had undiagnosed Lyme disease for over 3 decades. It’s pretty severe now and my mind doesn’t work so good, but the good news is I finally got a really good doctor and best of all a diagnosis so that I can begin treatment. Thanks you guys for helping me along the way. This is THE BEST SUPPORT GROUP ON THE WEB! You held me up as I stumbled through this horrific journey and for that I’ll be forever grateful.

I am SO happy that you got a diagnosis. We had a friend who had that and came along pretty good with treatment. The biggest problem was getting the diagnosis.
I hope you will let us know how you get along.
Hugs and Blessings. Possi

though i am sorry to hear that you've had to deal with untreated Lyme disease for so long, i am glad that you are finally getting the help that you need.

wow! same thing with my ex-girlfriend....she called wondering if she had given me lyme which caused my AS, but I had it before I met her...I think you have to take massive antibiotics now, right? or is it too late after three decades?? I'm glad you found out, there's lots of variations in lyme and the tests apparently don't catch them all... Peace Linc
