Oh Will, terribly sorry to hear things didn't work out with AmyLloydOsis. For the best, that is one you don't want anyways, as she sounds like trouble! You seem to be doing just swell with your Itis, and I'm not sure just how many Osis(es) and Itis(es) one man could handle, you charmer, you.

HI Megan,
I don't know anything about this, have heard about it.. but can't offer any advice. I hope you don't have one more thing to worry about! I am glad to hear that the NSD is working for the AS.I have only been on it for 2 weeks, and I am still in pain.. but I am not one to have things work quickly, so I guess patience.
I just hope you are ok, and will send prayers your way as well.

Jess

Megan,
Hi. hmmm, I thought "chronic nausea and vomiting, hair loss, neuropathies, and fatigue. " were / could be symptoms of or from AS? When I get a new pain or a sudden sharp pain - I just tell Lin, "my as is actinup again." But I always learn something here.
You have just got to get better. Caus I am going deep into the woods and shoot the biggest bull I can and then I will need help fixen a fire and packing him out!!

I'm sorry, but I'm no help with the amyloidosis and I'm thoroughly horrified that you might have one more thing.

Hi Megan,

I'm doing about the same, thank you. A bit up and a bit down. The mtx isn't working yet but I'm still only on 12.5 mg. Takes a long time to work up to a "therapeutic" dose. However, I still have no side effects so I am still feeling encouraged that it might do the trick.

How long have you had these symptoms? Do you think this has come on suddenly?

LOL! I am doing well Megan, thank you. Hope all is well with you. I am always up for more knowledge. Amyloidosis is a tough subject for a layperson to research. I don't usually throw up too much. Once in awhile. I just get mild nausea about every other day. Sometimes it will go away on its own or I will take a Tums or two and it will go. I have mild allergies to many foods so avoidance isn't an option. Wheat, yeast, sugar, milk, eggs, pork, beef, and etc. As long as I eat a wide variety of stuff I am usually fine. I just can't load up on a particular foodstuff. I got food drops and allergy shots (environmental allergies) when I was little and that helped. I was really sick as an infant/toddler. I couldn't keep food down. Look even more pale than normal. Didn't grow much. The allergy treatment made a major difference. Now I just carry my little buddies with me whereever I go (TUMS). One of man's greatest inventions along with the wheel. Take care and talk to you soon! Hope you feel better!!

Thanks Jess, I appreciate that. I know you know all too well what this feels like. Please keep me posted on your Mayo experience, I've been thinking of doing that too. I'll sure be praying for better days for you too.

Hi Lon, I'm not much for hunting, I only shoot with my camera.
But I would be sooo happy to go camping, sleeping in the woods.... I sure miss that.
