If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Hi Valerie, in between my fingers are swollen - on both hands - thought possible connective tissue disorder - but hardly any pain. Rheumy didn't know what it was.
Yours sounds so much worse, and very painful. Sounds like my aunts swollen knees. She has RA in her knees.
Should get it checked out.
Hugs
Gerri

Hi Valerie...you probably should get that looked at, you may need some an anti-inflammatory to bring it back down and I wouldn't let it go too long....sorry that you had to leave work and mess up such a great track record at work and I hope you get back to normal soon...

Hi Gerri I just go back from the doctors. The swelling has gone down a lot . He said that I should have gone yesterday when it was really bad but he checked it out . He ruled out poor circulation, blockage and a few other things. He said that since he did not see the worst of it he can not say exactly what was causing it. He said that it was probably a combo of things the main one being the arthritis. He told me that the next time it happens to see him right away.
Take care Valerie

Hi Michelle It was a hard decision to make . But I figured that it was time that I started looking after myself because no one else will do it. I took today off as well and went and got it checked out even though the swelling has gone down a lot. . It seems that it is mainly the arthritis and not a blockage or anything else to add to the mystery
Take care Valerie

Hi Valarie, I should have mentioned that you should had taken a picture of your hand. Dah, just thought of that now. Glad the swelling has gone down. The swelling between my fingers goes up, after eating something I am allergic to. Don't know if my allergies is causing inflamation. Rheumy thought at first was fat - told her I disagreed she - she didn't go there after that. Didn't get answer for my swelling either.
Glad your swelling has gone done - likely lot less pain.
Hugs
Gerri

Val, Hi. Jerri has a good point, take a picture.. A few times mine have looked like clubs with thick sausages on the end! lol But you folk of the finer sort should not have to go thorugh this. I alwasy thought it was just the AS. I often use, nearly boiling water. Prednizone for a short time. Of course I have congestive heart failure.. but you may try keeping them above your chest area?? I hope you are much better by the itme you read this.
I keep the New Covenant, when I fail....I am pulled back into place by HIM.

Hi Valerie, I'm glad to hear that you have some improvement and I hope that you don't have any more trouble with it, I don't remember if I mentioned it, but if you have anymore problems like that, maybe use some ice on it...I find that the hands and the feet are about the only place that I get relief from ice....

Sorry you had such a shock. Did the dr rule out blood pressure, or salt?
Hope you can pin point it. Ice sounds good Best wishes,
Lucy

Hi Gerri I didn't think of taking a picture. I will have to remember that in case it happens again. The hand is back to normal which is good. Some doctors don't like to be disagreed with . Thankfully mine doesn't mind he likes me to voice my opinion. It would be nice to know the cause but maybe it is one of life's mysteries.
Take care Valerie
