I know most beer has wheat in it, so I expected it to be starchy. However nutriondata.com lists it as starch-free?

Being allowed to drink beer would make me very, very happy right now. We're coming into summer here and I love my after-work or sitting-by-the-lake-on-a-lazy-Sunday-afternoon light beer when it's warm!

I do drink red wine too, but it just doesn't taste the same when it's hot enough to make the bitumen (asphalt in US?) melt. lol

I do fine with a MGD 64 or Bud light. Only three or four though, more than that I can feel it.

"Only three or four though, more than that I can feel it"

You mean the effects of the starch, or the alcohol?

Seriously now, that is good news. Thanks!

The past summer, I happened to be at the local winery where I was doing a public outreach program for my honey business and they were serving ale also produced by the same family. I hAd not eaten lunch so I had a few and I noticed I did not get drunk but what a satisfying taste and feeling of being satiated.
I don't know about the store bought stuff.....

European and north american beers have no starch. Alcohol in moderation is OK unless it interferes with the digestion. Check the food list on the 'sticky' above.

Oh, summertime without beer... *shudder*

I've been told by several that beer is OK on the NSD, and thank goodness for that.

I try to limit myself to 2 pints in a day, so I usually start at 10pm to get past midnight. I need the carbs. Hangovers are never nice, they just make spinal and SI difficulties worse in every way. I think it's all about how much sugar you can tolerate.

God says be of sound mind, so I've already had my fair share of disobedience.
