If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Hi there! I can't drink anything! I'm sure it has to do with my meds but I can absolutely NOT drink an alcoholic beverage of any sort! I just can't! But I guess I'm happier not drinking anyway so its not a big deal to me at all! But if you want it, more power to you! You go for it! Its funny hearing that its summer where you are! We are currently getting snow! I think its beautiful but the cold I'd quite painful to say the least! Have a great summer!

Hi Linella, Most beer in oz is made from barley not wheat. And I think it is ok because of the process it goes through to make the beer. So enjoy. My favs are Boags premium light or Redback a beer produced by Matilda Bay Brewing which started life as a whet beer. Maybe steer clear of the mass produced and try a "boutique beer'? http://www.alabev.com/ingredie.htmMalting: Barley must be malted before being used to brew beer. Malting is a process of bringing grain to its highest point of possible soluble starch content by allowing it to sprout roots (germinate) and take the first step to becoming a normal, photosynthesizing plant. It is at this point that the seed is rich in the starch it needs to use as food for growth. Then, the maltster heats the grain to a temperature that stops the growth process but allows a natural enzyme, diastase, (which converts starch into sugar or maltose) to remain active. It is this sugar or maltose that the yeast metabolizes into carbon dioxide and ethyl alcohol. Some of the malted barley is or can be heated at a higher temperature to roast it. The roasted malted barley no longer has the active enzymes needed to turn the starch into sugars, but does impart characteristics that add flavor to the beer. The degree of roasting determines the color of the beer and the greatest roasted malted barley will impart its roasted flavor to the beer.

Well, *that's* one good thing to look forward to in summer!
Don't mind a Boag or Redback (have sat outside at Matilda Bay brewery and imbibed fresh from the source) but I would prefer a James Squire golden ale any day!

Hey Georgina,
My friend who lives in Bridgetown (ex-Bunbury) mentioned that her son had taken her to Little Creatures - I asked her if that is where the Beautiful Creatures of Freo ate quokka quiche and numbat nachos...
Am thinking of visiting her later this year, so will have to drop in for a drop! I'm happy to sub chilli lime prawns and squid (sounds like a good NSD combo) for small furry marsupials!

Uno, That you mentioned XXXX is funny that is the only beer my partner drinks! Goes back decades was a rating system on the quality of beer and Castlemaine decided to rate their beer with XXXX as a marketing ploy! I swear my partner Kent doesn't have blood running through his veins but XXXX instead! He even has a tattoo of Johnny XXXX on his right shoulder.
