Hey Lisa - I have no idea why it would be freezing up on you. It was a good suggestion to try clearing your KA cookies.

Go to > My Stuff at top > Cookies > and then click Expire cookies. This will automatically log you out so be prepared to log in again and see if that helps.

If it doesn't help, please let me know ok?

Hey all Admin Types!! Thank you. There are some very cool features in this new incarnation of KA.

Having some "change" issues. Things don't look the same. Don't have my colour scheme. Keep going to the top of the discussion page to go back to the Support forum, then having a V8 moment before I go back down to the bottom of the page.

Just discovered Shout - OK!! I'm already in 4 different discussions there. Cripes!

Can we have our open mouthed smile back? You know, the one that's not a grin but not a laugh?

Thanks again, folks. You all ROCK!

Warm hugs,

Kat

It looks and works great...

I didn't even know it was open until this afternoon. It said something like there was no forums for me to view, so I went away lol.

Who him? --> laugh3

Ya, he's important!

Did you know that you can change stylesheets on the fly in the bottom left corner? Timo will be getting more but many things are still a work-in-progress.

Cheers!

Hi soor_hiker, Hi James... good to see everyone finding their way back in. smile

Bookmarks seemed to have caused some trouble in knowing we were back up. I hope most will try the direct route.

Thanks!

mig or Timo,

Kat mentioned that her color (excuse me, colour) scheme was missing, and I was wondering about that too. In the old version, I had my viewing preferences set so that all backgrounds were black and all the stuff on the page in, I think, either tan or a very tannish yellow. Text I typed was white.

Well, due to my iritis, right now I have my Firefox set to pretty much mimic that view, and it works for all websites, not just KA. Here, I have not noticed anyplace where we can choose all those different color options we had before--am I missing it, or is that on the "nice to add if we can" list? I would greatly prefer to have just my KA prefs set to the white-on-black combo if I can, because as my eye gets better, I will soon be turning it off at the Firefox level and going back to standard black-on-white with all websites appearing as designed.

Did that all make sense, and if so, are stylesheets the answer; or, am I missing where to make the change; or, are the color schemes just not available right now?

See gang, even other admins need help with some of the new stuff here, so absolutely do NOT hesitate to ask a question, ANY question, about the new version!

I've been playing with the new preferences a bit, first to make more room on the page by turning off the left column, and increasing the number of total topics per page to display from 10 to 20

Brad, I think that there is where you will find the ability to change the color schemes, under "Your preferred stylesheet" there are some presets, like "ubbthreads-dark" that makes the screen dark, with white letters

My Stuff/Edit Preferences, or as Mig mentioned "on the fly" pop-up tab that should be visible on lower left of your screen
