Hi Ansh,
Not from any one particular site.
I just posted a new topic on the main forum comparing the involvement of the bone marrow in RA and AS.
I might take this opportunity to rescind comment about formation of a synovial space at the manubrio-sternal joint - this might be debatable.
In the new post I refer to a recently released book Volume 649 Advances in Experimental Medicine and Biology - Molecular Mechanisms of Spondylarthropathies.

There is a chapter entitled Therapy of Spondylarthritides
No mention is made of NSD or even Klebsiella.
This is a little disappointing since any model for the pathogenesis of AS MUST take account of the great improvement many patients get when they switch to a LSD or NSD.

Cheers David

Dx Oct 2006 B27+ undifferentiated spondlyarthropathy (uSpA) with mild sebhorrhoeic dermatitis and mild Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) controlled by NSD since 2007.

[quote=Zanni]I ask my dr about it every time I see him. He said mine in plurisy.

Has your Dr ever bothered to X-ray your lung or lungs to confirm his/her diagnosis? Plurisy can be detected by standard X-ray images.
Ive been down this road Dr saying pain is from Plurisy. in my case the xrays confirmed i didnt have plurisy. without xray results DR is just assuming.

Hi Darryn,

Good point!

I had a nuclear scan done which showed that my chest was a mess (the bone - not the lungs) and that was what was causing the pain.

me too. after 11 years, thought all the tendons that could be involved had been, then this fall, the tendons that attach the pec muscles to the sternum were so sore, a little sore, then swinging arms while walking flared it terribly, had to not swing arms for days before it would calm down, maybe longer. around this time went for my nuclear bone scan. they had me lay in a few positions while they took pictures of my sternum, they had never seen that much inflammation at that spot before, or so they told me. thought it very interesting (from a scientist's perspective that the pain and the bone scan agreed very nicely with one another). always find it fascinating the tendons that will become inflamed!
