Hey guys, I couldn't find this question anywhere, so I'll ask it here. Does this new forum have a mobile version so I can get it on my smart phone. As is it now, the forum is really a mess on my Palm Treo. If it works on the I-phone, I'll think about changing phones. Thanks.

Hi Dean. No, we don't have a mobile version. I have an iPod Touch (the iPhone should be the same) with Safari as the browser and Kickas renders very nicely. Everything works but it is a bit slower as it isn't as powerful as a desktop.

I just checked out the UBB forums and it seems a mobile option might be included in the new version being worked on.

Hey Dean:

here's how your post looks on my iPhone:

(you'll have to copy and paste that link in a new browser window to see because we are in the technical forum)

I love the way that KickAS keeps the preferences from one device to another (as long as you are logged in, which it does that automatically after you've done it once)

Only frustration on the iPhone I've had is when making a longer reply, trying to scroll up the screen in the compose box to edit the text can be tricky

maybe that would be improved in a newer mobile optimized UBB one that Timo mentioned might happen?

This site is better than many others, because of the lack of advertising here, very annoying that having to scroll through all the junk just to get to the good stuff-

Although have a dedicated app like the Facebook one on the iPhone is an exception, it simply doesn't include the ads, a wise decision on their part, I guess they calculated it was better to do that than risk people losing interest because of the frustration!

Thanks Timo, Maybe I'll wait to make the change until UBB comes out with the mobile version. Who can afford new phones with the economy the way it is. Who knows, maybe At&t will offer me a free iphone if I stay with them. Hahaha.

Wow Dow, That is great. With my Treo everything is lined up so I have to scroll through the links, search, forum stats, etc with the postings finally at the very bottom. And then if I try to reply, or go into a thread I have to go back to the top and start all over. It's so difficult, and very frustrating. I finally just race to the nearest computer and use that.
