Was just wondering if there were any other Nascar fans out there besides myself. If so, please let me know and mention who your favorite driver(s) are. My personal favs are 1.) Sterling Marlin - #40
2.) Bill Elliott - #9
3.) Michael Waltrip - #15
Hope to get some decent response.
Glenn

Glenn,
Yea love NASCAR here.
Some of my favorite drivers are Ward Burton #22 and brother Jeff #99. Sterling Marlin #40. Elliot Sadler #21 and you can't forget Shawna Robinson #48. Not bad on the eyes at all for a driver either

See Ya,
Mark

Now your talkin'....
I've been a stock car fan all of my life. Everything from Saturday night dirt track to the Big Boys. My construction company even sponsored a local modified driver...

As for Drivers... The Best is Gone. I was a died in the wool Earnhardt fan. I stuck by him when others jumped ship and began rootin' for that other Jeff...
The little whiny rainbow boy...

As always I'm stickin' to my guns...The 3 is now the 29 but that attitude is still there. And don't count out Jr. and the other DEI drivers. Teresa and Ty are doing a great job keeping things going in the direction Ol' Dale would have wanted.

Hey, Mark... The wife and I are comin' to Charlotte for the Oct races. We're gonna be stayin' up in Cornelius. Goin' racin' Friday night, Saturday, and Saturday night, and Sunday. Gonna hit some of the shops on the way home. Workin' on a buddy of mine to get me a tour at Yates Shop. His son-in-law works on the 88 car.

Chris,
I was never much of an Earnhardt fan. But I never realized how much I missed him until he was gone. In every sport you need a "villan". Earnhardt filled that role for me. Now I have a different attitude. On any given Sunday, I have 43 "favorite" drivers. Yes, even including the whiney little rainbow guy. Even tho I still don't like seeing him win. I miss Dale. I even have collected some of his diecast cars now. I just purchased the Oreo car that he ran in the Bud Shootout last year. I am a big fan, as I already said in my post of Sterling Marlin & Bill Elliott. In fact, on any given Sunday, I will put my Sterling Marling t-shirt and watch the race. By the way that shirt paid off this weekend. Last year I took my 9 year old boy to MIS to see qualifying. That was pretty exciting. He wanted a (gag) Jeff Gordon hat, so I bought that for him. This year, I'd like to at least get down to see the Busch race. Hard to get tix for W/C.
Nice to talk to such died in the wool race fans. Lets keep it up.

Glenn

Do you collect diecast? Thats one of my favorite hobbies. My wife says we're gonna have to buy a bigger house just to hold my collection. Its approaching 200 pcs and I'm not slowing down. I have several favorite pieces. One of which is Harvick's #29 Goodwrench rookie car by Action in 1/24th scale. Can't find that one anymore. I also have Jeff Gordon's Bugs Bunny car in the same 1/24th scale. Those are just a couple. Let me know what some of yours are.

Hi Mark,
Well butter my butt and call me a bisquit, Sure I'd be interested in aomething like that.

I buddy of mine got us into Childress' shop a few years back. He was a tire carrier and drove Dale E's motor coach. But Dale sold that coach to upgrade, and my buddy went in the deal.... He sold it to Gordon.... That was enough for him, after a few trips with the whiney one and the witch, not exactly the words he used to describe them, he left. He had worked in some way with a NASCAR team for years.

Hey there! I love NASCAR. My favorite driver is Mark Martin. But I HATE his commercial...."Who did you expect, Bob Dole?" Agh!! it makes me sick everytime I hear it! My son went to the race at Atlanta Motor Speedway today. Lucky guy. I didn't get a chance to watch the race, but judging from the pole positions if MM #6 won it would be a miracle since he started in row 20! Maybe Wild Bill (homeboy) will win since he had pole position! Check y'all out later!
