Hi Drizzit

I'd be interested to read some of the latest stuff that they are researching as it sounds very interesting. Do you have any links or articles? Also are they finding out the nuts and bolts of how AS works once triggered or do they think that the disease is mostly just genetics?

Hi jroc,
Genome wide studies are being used to identify the genetic factors involved in SpA's. It's then upto immunolgists to try and elucidate the functional mechanisms and the interdependencies of these gene products in order explain AS.
The latest genome wide study identified 2 chromosmal loci for which no gene is yet identified.

Could be standing in a hole in the road - lots of em in Notts. On the news headines tonight, millions being spent on repairing roads, especially over the Nth of UK...so, our accordianist has found a nice hole in the road and sorta slipped into it...
