yes, as others have been explaining to you. i used to love the little fellas, but now need to avoid the sugar. ohwell

i like them slightly stale, let them sit in the easter basket a few days, a week, nice and stale, just right! clap

and they now have them in not just the traditional yellow that i grew up with, but neon blue, neon pink, purple, don't even want to think what kind of dye they use for those! eek2

and also bunny shaped. smile

and Peeps now for other holidays: orange pumpkin peeps for halloween, green christmas trees for christmas, and more. santa

oh, you have no idea what you are missing! roll

they even have a peep's store! i wouldn't have believed it, but where my sister lives, she and her teenage children luv the peeps' store. not just the candy, but an entire Peep's clothing line. my niece got Peep's PJ bottoms for christmas, LOL! laugh2

Oh yea, marshmellow peeps, open them up and let them sit a couple days before you eat em. Can't eat them at Christmas, just not the same.
Happy Easter everyone

'Peeps' - animal noise, 1513 - 1584 as well as cheeps, cheeping, 1605: chicks, baby birds, their cheeping or peeps. Old English. Which later included 'eyes', peepers. peep-hole, peeping-Tom, peep-toed, etc etc.

Many, many references. whistle

Yes, Bleeker. Don't forget the crunchy sugar on the outside. Now they come in many different colors and shapes. Only the yellow chicks are really authentic, in my not so humble opinion.

Easter Photo: Today on our Sunday hike, our lunch was interrupted by these Rocky Mountain Bighorn Sheep ambling along a cliff face...Tom

Hi Molly: We were not that far away from them. They live in a large protected area and are used to people. The ones we seen yesterday were just ambling along an animal trail on a cliff face. I will send more photos of the Rocky Mountain Bighorns as I find the photos in previous folders. Always a pleasure to see! And thank you for describing "peeps" as I have never heard of them either...Tom
