Brad,
You have such a way with words, and an interesting take on what constitutes 'short'.... smile Thank you for your post, and given your current state, the time and energy this will have taken. I'm sorry to hear that you're hurting so much at the moment, and hope that you can get that doc straightened out and your remicide soon.

I was away over the weekend, and while I did check in briefly it wasn't until I got back that I caught up on all the landmines that were going off left right and centre. I have been taken back at the level of antagonism expressed in some posts, and perturbed to say the least. While wanting to post something about all that was going on, I wasn't sure where to start, and you've managed to put so eloquently some of the thoughts that have been going around in my head...

Namely, that KA means so much to many people, but that it also means different things to different people.
I think it fair to say that everyone here would do anything they could to beat AS, and help others do the same.
That AS gives us enough crap to deal with, we don't need to give it to each other.
Appreciation for the efforts that go on behind the scenes, often forgotten, to keep this place going. It does take time and a toll, as well as money, and it is being done on top of personal and professional lives *and* dealing with AS too. You guys are heros.
That in forums like this things can get out of hand *so* quickly, compared to if we were sitting around talking... Posting in anger just adds fuel to the flames, and sarcasm goes down like a lead balloon without cues like body language and tone of voice to temper it.
Aside from learning so much about dealing with the many different aspects of this darned disease, I've also learnt a lot about myself, and from others too... Mig's diplomacy, Possi's grace to name just a few.

I hope we can all get back to keeping an eye on the bigger picture, and that is focusing on kicking AS...

hugss to you all, my friends.

Hey, Brad:

I know that You are dealing with a lot of stuff right now, and I am very sorry that some of the recent events here have escalated and caused You even more worry. There are some things for which there is never a good time.

Thank You, for being here when You have been able; it has made all the difference in the world to everyone involved here at KA.

I know that You did not need this level of distress--again, I'm sorry,
John

Brad

Bravo...wonderfully said dear friend. I'd really like to see this story go away or get solved peacefully.

By the way...I think it is ok to make mig cry a little. (As long as they are happy tears)
Love you mig for all you have done and continue to do for all of us.

Brad, I hope that you get some relief soon so that you can return to what is closer to normal for you.
Ray smile

Brad, sorry to hear you're having a hard time due to not getting meds...have been in that situation several times. Hey, we do joke about the brevity of your posts but you are a good writer and contribute a great deal of time composing thoughtful responses to assist members. At a loss for words to adequately wish you the best

Brad - I know I already sent you my wishes for a speedy improvement but here they are again. I can just picture you propped up in bed pecking away on your laptop. I hope you also went to the KA jokes section to put some light and laughter into your day.

Really hope you can get back on the Remi soon.

And... I loved what you wrote. I've been wishing you were well enough to be around with your strong voice through all this.

Sorry to hear about your situation Brad.

On another note: have you all noticed through all of this muck and negativity, just how much value you actually place on this site and your fellow ASkickers? Many have had a chance to say things that needed to be said (talking about encouragement).

Brad - hope you get that rheumy sorted, you meds back in place and you swiftly on the road back to controlled pain free days. Wretched situation for you. Bravo your caring parents for being there to step in and help.

This recent upset seems resolved and really when you analyse it, it would seem to be a whole heap of misunderstandings, now thankfully resolved. Bravo admin and bravo our ever chheerful KA members. Stalwart to the end - mais oui.

Take care Brad -

Brad clap
I've remained quiet with all that has been going on lately, not knowing how to put my thoughts into words. Thankyou for this post. As always, you always you put into words what I want to say but can't.
hugss
