I looked and looked for a specific place to write an intro but was not able to find one. I hope I am not out of line by posting in this forum.

My name is Sara. I have been blessed with the ability to be a stay at home mom to my 3 wonderful boys, ages 8, 3 and 2. I am a military wife to a deployed soldier.
I was officially "diagnosed" with AS in January of this year. I am a newby to the AS world, but not to the pain or suffering it causes. This is not the adventure I would have chosen for myself but I embrace it and look forward to learning about this way of life from those of you who have been at it slightly longer then I.
Have a wonderful day.

Hi Sara... and welcome to KA!

We'd welcome you anywhere of course but yep, this forum has the most traffic and is the best place to introduce yourself. Nice to meet you.

Sorry you have been diagnosed with AS but it sure sounds like you have a positive attitude that will serve you well in fighting it! I've had AS for 29 yrs... arrrgh. lol

Hope you enjoy the group, make yourself at home! smile

Welcome Sara...

What a wonderful positive attitude you have! (and my utmost respect; being at home with 3 young ones!)

This is a great place to learn, share and find support.

Glad you found it.

Tracey

Hi Sara and welcome to KA. smile

I'm glad you found us so quickly after your diagnosis. When I first came here, about a month after my dx, I was so overwhelmed. The folk here saved me and helped me start to learn about living with AS.

I add my kudos to the others, you have a great attitude!

Hugs,

Kat

Hi SaraK!

I'm relatively new to this site myself and like you not new to the pain. Tomorrow is my big day to go over test results to get, I hope, the official diagnosis.

God bless you and your deployed soldier. My son spent 15 months in '07 and '08 in Iraq in the Army running convoys from Basrah to Baghdad to Mosul. So, I know the sacrifice of soldier and family.

I've been reading the posts here daily and find them very helpful.
