If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

I went to see my GP this afternoon. I told him how I have terrible hip pain all morning to early afternoon. I am taking Vicodin every three hours and it really doesn't seem to touch the pain much. If I don't take Vicodin I can hardly walk. He questioned whether being on Remicade is the right answer. I told him AGAIN that it never did much for the hip pain but it is helping with the fatigue. My rhuemy also told me that it appears that it hasn't seemed to progress. I do not know what periphrial pain is caused by the AS or the Fibromyalgia.
My doctor is starting to question my diagnosis!!!
I do not want to scrap the whole thing and start over.
My doctor is going to talk with my rhuemy next week to see if they can figure out what is going on.
In the mean time I am having severe hip pain that radiates all the way down my legs.
I am frustrated with the whole thing. I am also wondering what is going on. It has also been increasingly harder to work everyday.
I can not defeat you but I will not let you win

Hi Jeff
Ask your doctor about Psoriatic Arthritis (PsA). PsA is the sister to AS. I am HLA B27+, and have been diagnosed with PsA.
I have much pain in my back, hips, up my spine to top of neck, shoulders, feet, hands, knees - heck most joints.
My Rheumy was quick to diagnose me when she seen my xrays.
You need to find a rheumy who knows the spondylitis(s)

Hi Jeff I think sortings things with the rhuemy will be much better rather then your gp talking to hom Its def the patient who can give clear idea of whats happening with them not the doctors they can only guide and help in a better way

i'd be frustrated too, so much energy to just get a dx and get treatment and to have it questioned so soon. if the drugs aren't working well enough, maybe another drug is to be considered? hope you get some relief soon, the hip surgery may be part of the solution, no?

You know, your hip pain could be totally unrelated to your other problems. I have OA and AS. The two conditions cause pain in different areas. Why is it that once we get a Dx of one thing, doctors and ourselves want to lump all our symptoms together? If something doesn't fit the list of symptoms we are supposed to have, the doctors are confused.
Your hip pain could be caused by something orthopedic that has nothing to do with AS or Fibro.
I hope you find some answers. Donna

Wishing you a smooth and quick resolution. They really should just add frustration to the symptom list of all our 'members' conditions, don't you think? It seems to go hand in hand with AS, RA, Fibro, PsA.... Really hoping your frustration is short lived! Tracey

Oh Jeffrey, this is awful, I can just immagine how frustrated you are. If your Rheumy diagnosed you with AS why would your GP question him, your Rheumy is the specialist after all. I have been quickly loosing my faith in the medical profession. I'm so sorry you are going through this. Cindy
