Kevin, just wanted to let you know I'm here for ya. Strange, I always say the same thing, that things always happen Friday, Sat. and Sun. when I can't call anybody. How about some heat? And gentle movements?

Kevin - wow, I'm sorry you're dealing with even more stuff. Is it tender to touch as well as moving your head around? I can't guess what the problem is but I hope the rheumy has some answers. Let us know!

sorry to hear that your neck is so bad. that's definitely one of my worst pains. though the SIs may cause more pain at times, at least i can lay on ice and get some relief and some sleep. but when the neck spasms, its so hard to function, even to sleep. for me, its definitely muscle spasms in my neck. sometimes trigger points as well. so sorry. hugss

i use heat and/or ice, zanaflex, and ultrasound. and not just to the neck, but to the upper back / shoulder area as well. it's all kind of connected for me.

and when i can't handle it on my own, i get my physiatrist and/or PT involved. sometimes also get triggerpoint injections. PT used to do traction on me but not sure you'd tolerate it but your medical team would know. just really a very gentle procedure.

hope you can get some relief soon. hugss

Ok seen my Doctor this morning cant get hold of Rheumy till Monday my muscles have gone into severe spasm so he's given me Diazipan and told me to increase pain killers.Having blood tests and xrays on Monday to see what's going on if xrays don't show anything he wants a full CT scan as I cant have MRI any more.
I also have a swollen node in my neck that needs checking out.

How was your sleep, Kevin? Did the new meds help?
