If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Hi all,
I just wanted to give an update.
I've been going to Physical Therapy for 3 weeks now. It is more painful than natural childbirth, but it IS working. They are able to do "manual" therapy which basically means pushing on spots on your body that you didn't even know hurt, but are now painfully aware of every time you look at your new bruise. But after they loosen up your "fascia" or joint capsule (I have no idea what these terms mean)...your body actually works better. They have brought back nearly full range of motion in my shoulders. Amazing. Trust me, or I wouldn't keep going back. Now they also have me on an exercise program for strengthening. It is working. I can drive again. Wild. I wish I would have done this long ago. Some stuff is beyond help, IE: my right wrist is fused, which sucks. But hey, what can ya do? It's spilt milk at this point.
My PT Doc also consulted with a nutritionist who advised me that in addition to avoiding starch, to remove Dairy, Sugar, and Fruit. And WOW, in less than 24 hours I saw a HUGE improvement.
I am taking a little celebrex on and off so I can feel extra good for special occasions like today, took 8 cub scouts to day camp. Woo hoo. Prior to NSD, celebrex had no benefit.
Bottom line is I haven't felt this good, since I started feeling bad! lol
Diet wise, I eat fruit sparingly, in small quantities, and not very often. I eat dairy very rarely, had some mozzarela tonight at a friends house.....stomach is churning noisily. I eat sugar free chocolate and other s/f candies. I'm not so "crazed" for lack of food. I'm losing weight, which for me is a good thing. I am able to walk, and do other exercise, which feels amazing.
I feel very blessed to have found KA and all of you. Thanks for holding my hand in my darkest hours.
-Donette

Yay for physios!!! Physios are Fabulous!!! (Unfortunately they are not magicians... ) That's great news Donette - as with most things - it's a combo that works best - trick is figuring out *which* combo... Tired Louise - who is now taking off her "physio" hat to drive home and put on my "Mum" hat...
Louise Happy to be a physio by day, not happy to be a Spondy 24/7!

Wohoo! That is so wonderful to hear, Donette. Great that your PT is working with the nutritioninst, and that it is all making such a difference to you. Go Team Donette! May you continue to improve!
