Well beloved,
I am headed to the Sturgis, Motor Cycle Rally!
Harley Davidsons have been buzzing by all summer but now more than ever The Call of the wild is ringing in my ears. Other than getting a few tatts, I hope to avoid all bar fights, I promise not to stare at naked women. I will be listening to a annual singer at a bar, but his message in music is that of God, Family and Love. I find it quite fortuitous that tho I am sick, sinus infection, tired, and been swearing lately; I am able to go to this rally. My sons girl friend has loaned me a Harley. I have ten days worth of grey beard, been doing pushups, er ah well, I started, I want to start. Last two years someone related to the rally has died. Maybe a, I can do a funeral or two while there.
I’ll get out my colors, come back with a sun burned nose, but hey, well worth it.
Any Idears on the Tatt? Mom, Guss, Lin, Donkey Kick’in AS, Hell Fighter On Wheels, Crazy for God?
Heaven bound….or this one, about midnight, when everyone is high; Turn or Burn you Whimp…
Actually I am going, I have a Harley to drive, and I will hear some good music.

Whoa Lon!! Sturgis is great. As you will see, there is something for everybody out there. Of course I'm partial to the KA Donkey, But I can picture "Heaven Bound" across a nice set of Harley wings and shield.
A large group of friends and fellow firefighters just got home from a 5000 mile ride that went through Sturgis last week. One of our Brothers wanted to make the trip. He was battling cancer and asked to just hang on to be able to make this last ride. Unfortunately the cancer won out, but "Oscar" did make the trip. They guys took his ashes and left him in various places that he loved from Yellowstone, to Sturgis. His final resting place is in the Badlands. The group had a small service and scattered the majority of his ashes there as he had asked during his final days here. So if you happen through the Badlands, wave to Oscar, just ask for "Trigger Finger", he'll know you are a friend..

Nay, I have found that while many bikers can be immoral, they have a code that is helpful to those in need!
Roll on over... I don't feel up to a road trip on a two wheel, so I will take the car probably..
I 'll give ya a full report from my biased dispositon.

Chris,
It is always amazing how much heartache our KA family has to go thro.. I do no town my own bike, but I do have a Honda 4-wheel that I drive for work, licensed for street driving I went into the garge and realized as I sat on the Harley that I am way to stiff to ride for very long. But I will be in Sturgus in a few hours..

Lon, have a great trip! It sounds like quite a ride and I know my sweetie will be jealous when I tell him. He's a biker, you see. Listen to tons of music, get all the tatts you want (the brighter the better - and a kicking a$$ would rock!!), ride that bike for all you're worth, and sneak peaks at the odd babe ('cause, why not).
